This device fails to use USB C. In 2025 this is unacceptable. The pictures and description do not show that this uses MINI-USB, which should only exist on oddball legacy devices that have not become E-waste. LG should be ashamed that this uses Mini-USB. Mini USB is a deprecated standard and plug and has no business in new devices.

I got this because my computer does not have a DVD recorder or player. I purchased this to do my taxes and to put games on my computer. It's does what I wanted it to do, and I am quite happy with it .

Can’t complain about it. Just keep in mind it should be placed on the desk not on the top of a computer case. If you put it on your computer it will cause vibration rattles.

I purchased this hard drive instead of an Apple HD as they did not have Apple product. It was recommend by Apple and I took it home. The drive is easy to use and the store backs it up with service and warranty.

I had to return this drive. After doing research and consulting the Geek Squad, I bought this drive. As it turns out I was given a raft of mis-information as to being able to use it with my Chrome Book; it will not work with that device. I wish I would have know before purchasing and returning it and wasting my time. Geeks apparently don't know everything.

My new computer didn't have a dvd player and I thought I wouldn't need one, wrong. This works just fine and I don't have to leave it out on the desk, the cable wasn't long enough so I went and got a new one.

Bought this to download some saved items on my dvr. Worked great. Also came in handy when the new computer did not have a disc drive.

Good product, but nothing special. It hasn't broken down yet, so I would say its worth it.

I purchased this product because all of my work from my HP laptop was saved to discs and since the MacPro does not have a disc drive I needed a way to view my discs

I bought this to compliment a new desktop I bought around a year ago that didn’t have a CD drive. Works well and the read/write speed is fine for my purposes.

In the process of scanning over 200 CD’s and DVD’s this new drive performed flawlessly! It was fast and transferred the data to a new hard drive with ease.

Initially there were issues with the device being recognized by my computer and with installing the drivers. However, once they loaded, the item has worked well. Overall a good buy.

I love my new laptop although I have found the sliver keys much harder to see than the black keyboard with white letters.

Got a new laptop and it didn't have a CD drive. needed it in a pinch it was in stock in the store. got this to load some of my older programs into the new laptop

This is a needed peripheral for the MacBookAir while there is still media I wish to import. It was fine with the one disk I have used thus far, but it took several efforts to eject the disk as instructed.

Good for playing DVDs and the installation is mostly easy, although you may need to consult online help.

I've only used it so far to rip a couple CDs to iTunes on my MacBook Pro, but it worked fine for that without any installation hassles.

I bought to work w/ my iMac and its gets the job done. I have basically only used to play Dvd's for now and it works perfectly I have no experience w/ how they write or burn.
