I was not disappointed nor amazed by this drive. It does what I needed it to do... and that is burn double layer disks.

It matches other digital equipment I have and functions well with Mac. A lot more solid than past players base on casing that were plastic. Expect it to last.

The subject of my review answers the main question I had -- you can watch DVDs with this. You can also burn CDs. So yeah.

Great product highly recommended and t is reasonably priced.

Nothing special with this drive. I rarely use it. If usage is a lot I would get something much faster. This works for my occasional use.

So far so good. Sadly, laptops don’t usually have this installed anymore so you’re forced to buy an external.

Using this as an auxillary DVD reader with Windows 10, and it works fine.

I have a mac for school and I needed a good CD rom drive this was perfect and it is also very cheap as well. It works perfect for my laptop and its very fast loading speeds too

This is a great device for backing up your computer on to DVDs

The newest iMac's do not have room for a built in drive, so you need to buy one. Luckily, you don't have to spend lots of money to get a great unit.

Very Compact and works great wit my laptop. Without this addition I would not be able to copy and or make CDs.

This unit replaced the black plastic LG DVD writer that I had and this one is much sturdier. The top doesn't give when you press on it and it works great.

It may be that it's an external drive but it is not as responsive as an internal drive CD/DVD reader/writer. It took two hours to load Office on my laptop with this reader. It reads comparable to another reader I had which was cheaper. As an average drive I would recommend it to others but I would advise doing some research first. There aren't very many options out there so this may be as good as it gets.

I purchased this to go with my daughter's laptop since the laptop did not have a built-in DVD player. Works great!

This router is providing me with the power I needed to have strong Wi-Fi connection all over my home even the sunroom. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased it & tried to copy a disc and couldn’t get it to work. So it’s just “there” taking up space. I called to get help and they couldn’t give me much help on the customer service line.

My new I Mac did not come equipped with an internal player/writer. Bummer! But it's nice to have one close and very necessary for my line of work.

I really wish on the box there was a description. It just has a picture of the product and the name of it. It works for what its made for and good product. A little description would really help.
