    Even though I miss the built in DVD component from my previous computer,with this external DVD I'm able to watch a movie or two and burn CDs if I need to.

    Laptops these days do not have a CD/DVD built in and this thing does the trick. Loads quick and love the fact there is no tray.

    Does the job. Little loud and light tends to vibrate across the desk when in use. I think putting a mouse pad under it would take care of that.

    Good drive for systems that do not have one built in. My only negative is that it can be a little loud, but that is manageable. Glad to have it.
