Even if it was discs that were burned from the drive itself. I use Mac computers in my business and thought I would try this instead of the Apple Superdrive. I would stick to the Apple Superdrive even if it a little more expensive.

Bought it mainly to watch my old dvds on my laptop since my laptop does not have a disc drive, but it does not come with a dvd viewer. You have to install one on your own. I have windows 10. Actually I can't even remember if after installing a free one if it even worked. I don't use it but I keep it in case I need to access info on an old cd. This writer was the only option I had at the time and I bought it to patch the time until I can find a better option.

Unfortunately, the cyberlink software disk included with the unit cannot be installed to my computer due to fact that this disk was designed for Windows 7/8/10 operating systems(my computer has Windows Vista Home Premium). Any help that you can give to remedy this problem would be much appreciated.

Reached out to LG, who sent a "refurbished" as a replacement. First time upon using the "refurbished" one, the DVD got stuck and won't eject, no matter what I do. I searched other reviews on the LG site, and it seems I'm not the only one.
