Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for a Lenovo laptop with Windows 11, after downloading programs online to run the RW I was able to easily load CD programs I already had from my older Windows laptop( still have programs I use for the XP days). It plays my old CDs & DVDs extremely well, I burned one CD to see how it worked, the burned CD would skip when replayed but the same CD worked great in other CD players so sort of a mystery. Comparing the LG to others sold online I opted for the LG instead, the quality & price are great compared to some of the lesser priced models being sold out there.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trouble at first. Have a 2020 iMac Retina 5K 27", running Catalina. No instructions for install. No drivers. Looked quite a bit. On apple site it prompted me to download driver for lg superslim dvd player. This prompted me to download Flash. Do NOT download Flash as it has been discontinued and is vulnerable to all kinds of malware. Plugged the multiblade in anyway and nothing showed up anywhere on the iMac. Nothing in the dock. Nothing in DiskUtility. Nothing. Finally found a mention in some review somewhere that you need to RESTART with the multiblade plugged in. oh. Did this, it worked. Having a bit more trouble when going to EJECT the disk. Does not eject after you stop play. The screen goes blank. If this happens, quit the DVD player app and open it again. Then you should be able to eject from the toolbar or command+E. Make sure to keep 'DVD Player' in the dock so you don't have to go looking for the app every time. It's a very sleek, pretty, lightweight product. Some have mentioned loudness - I didn't have a problem with it. A little loud when it loads a disk and first starts to play but then it quiets right down. Took a chance on this and it seems to have worked out (so far). Hope this saved someone a bit of time.
