Since the drive is compatible with both Apple and Windows systems, the instructions could be more user-friendly by better clarifying that the installation disc is for Windows only. That way, I would have known from the start that the device was plug-and-play for my Mac. That said, the drive works perfectly and is quiet as a mouse. Love it!

Worked very well with copying music to a CD but did not work for copying a DVD-rewritable disc. Pricing was better than the Apple Optical portable drive.

Excellent little DVD Drive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a new computer and needed an extra drive, found this to be compact, portable ands easy to use with windows 8.1. What's great is there is no tray for this unit, just slide in the disk. Eject system is also great. I don't have to worry about toting it around and having the tray eject accidently with chances of causing damage to the drive. Comes with software with extra apps.

Great Option for "Writing" DVDs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not have a need to create DVDs much anymore (i.e. in 2022) as things have moved more to "online" or "streaming" options; however, when the need arises, this is a great option to have as a backup. It is easy to use and does a great job.
