Did not work with the MacBook couldn't open drive.

The product did not work after the first time. Very disappointing. Waste of $60

The device was part of a package savings special I returned it.

Salesperson said this would play DVDs, it does not. Will be returning it. Hmm.

Purchased this for a Lenovo laptop with Windows 11, after downloading programs online to run the RW I was able to easily load CD programs I already had from my older Windows laptop( still have programs I use for the XP days). It plays my old CDs & DVDs extremely well, I burned one CD to see how it worked, the burned CD would skip when replayed but the same CD worked great in other CD players so sort of a mystery. Comparing the LG to others sold online I opted for the LG instead, the quality & price are great compared to some of the lesser priced models being sold out there.

Trouble at first. Have a 2020 iMac Retina 5K 27", running Catalina. No instructions for install. No drivers. Looked quite a bit. On apple site it prompted me to download driver for lg superslim dvd player. This prompted me to download Flash. Do NOT download Flash as it has been discontinued and is vulnerable to all kinds of malware. Plugged the multiblade in anyway and nothing showed up anywhere on the iMac. Nothing in the dock. Nothing in DiskUtility. Nothing. Finally found a mention in some review somewhere that you need to RESTART with the multiblade plugged in. oh. Did this, it worked. Having a bit more trouble when going to EJECT the disk. Does not eject after you stop play. The screen goes blank. If this happens, quit the DVD player app and open it again. Then you should be able to eject from the toolbar or command+E. Make sure to keep 'DVD Player' in the dock so you don't have to go looking for the app every time. It's a very sleek, pretty, lightweight product. Some have mentioned loudness - I didn't have a problem with it. A little loud when it loads a disk and first starts to play but then it quiets right down. Took a chance on this and it seems to have worked out (so far). Hope this saved someone a bit of time.

Needed a drive for the new iMac which is built without one. Drive is small so fits discreetly on the desk. It's quite. Super simple to get up and running.

The silver finish looks great with my MacBook Air, for $25 to $30 less than Apple's Superdrive. Since the drive is compatible with both Apple and Windows systems, the instructions could be more user-friendly by better clarifying that the installation disc is for Windows only. That way, I would have known from the start that the device was plug-and-play for my Mac. That said, the drive works perfectly and is quiet as a mouse. Love it!

Seems to work fine. Compact enough to carry if needed. Fits nicely on desk.

It truly was a plug and play drive for my Apple MacBook Pro15.2 computer. Worked very well with copying music to a CD but did not work for copying a DVD-rewritable disc. Pricing was better than the Apple Optical portable drive.

Plug and play. Good quality. Light. and works well. Came with software to install but if you need to use it right away you can. Auto feeder makes it easy and quick to use.

This is reading discs that are so scratched up I'd almost thrown them out years ago. I'm really impressed by how quiet it is. Using on MacBook and iMac. Let's hope it lasts for a while.

This was a known quality name brand that has a slim look and silver color to match my new iMac. Also like the versatility of being used on either a Mac or PC.
