Works great with Windows 10, installed easily, no problems

So far only records on CD-RW. After being dissatisfied I decided to mod the case and it looks great. I dropped it once from a two feet high table and it still works just for reading. Even before it was dropped it would only read. I give it 50% out of 100% for great in reading!

Works perfectly! Plug and play with no issues whatsoever very happy!!

Purchased an HP Spectre 360 that did not come with a CD drive. This was a must addition to listen to music and watch DVDs.

this product was exactly what i needed and met my expectations.

I bought a 2 in 1 laptop and it didn't have a disc drive bought this and i am more than satisfied.

Lets me burn cds to my tablet. Also run pc games. The rewriting ability is nice. Good value for the price.

Bought it for the slot load form factor (as opposed to a pop-open drawer. The drive works, and it's reasonably fast. Win10 recognized the drive upon plug-in. But ... Docked one star for noise. It purrs like a happy kitten, even when the drive is purportedly at rest. Docked a second star for the micro USB connector. C'mon, LG -- this is 2023!! Yes, LG includes a cable, but if you don't have a free USB A slot (and I didn't), you'll need to buy a mini-to-USB C cable. For the retail price, I expected better -- so it gets docked a third star.

So far the burner has done everything that I wanted it to do!!!!

I bought this drive for use with my Surface Pro 3 but the unit won't even load the software because it tells me that it's over the power consumption for my tablet. I know that the SP3 has a normal usb2.0 but this drive just won't work and am disappointed that I have to take it back. Other than this point though, the drive is great quality.

It was nice, but didn't work for what I needed it for.

Worked for four months and now is useless. Will not accept input of any new DVD or CD. (And no, there is no disc currently in it -- but there's no force eject to get the machinery on the inside to reset.)

Purchased A new HP ENVY laptop from BestBuy which needed an external drive. I purchased this LG drive at the advise of the BestBuy salesperson. I've had the drive for a week and have not been able to get it to work with the computer. I'm returning it back to the store today. I have much better things to be doing with my time than having to go back to Best Buy! My advise is to spend your money on anything other than this drive! Unless you don't mind spending hours trying to get it to work with your computer.

I bought this model because it was half the price of the Apple one and the box clearly states that it is Mac compatible.Got it home and could not burn CD's or DVD's on my new Macbook Pro, it keep saying your computer can't read these files. It would however read data CD's. Took it back and got the apple one and was able to instantly upload the same disks that the LG said my computer couldn't read. Spend the extra money if you have an Apple and buy their brand.

I could not get it to work with my surface book I called there customer surface number and they basically said it is not compatible.

See other review, they are correct...will not work on Yosemite..called Apple care they agree..will read some cd's but will not write to cd's or DVD's...Apple stated "look for Drivers" I left Window's to leave Drivers behind..LG help line on box just hangs up...not worth HASSLE

Very noisy operation but works okvbut it studders when reading dvds

I purchased this several days ago. When it came to install it, there was a driver problem. I went to LG's website, they didin't even have the model number listed as one of their products. I then went to live chat and explained the issue. They informed me that this is a international unit carried by Best Buy but DOES NOT have America support...

Only works with windows 9 and under, a waste of money.
