Less expensive than the Mac product but does exactly the same thing. Was highly recommended by the Best Buy sales associate.

The LG External Optical Drive is Great !!!

BUT, no available information on how to install it, if it has to be installed. Nothing in the App Store, no instructions, and what little I could find on YouTube always displayed it being hooked up to a lap top, not and iMac OS Desktop. Manufacturers need to remember not all of us know how to do all things computer. Put some instructions in or on the box.

LG makes Life Good

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've not experienced any of LG's products that aren't excellent, and this is just another example of that/ It plays my DVD's and CD's, and eventually I'll get around to testing its ability to also record my saved music to some of the blank DVD's I have somewhere in the garage. All around, it exceeds expectations and was an excellent buy!
