I use this to work with my Surface Pro 4. so far there has not been any problems. I seems to read the disk very fast but, I do not have a ref to compare.

It's unfortunate that laptops are going away from having CD players. This player is so easy to use and I get to use it on both apple and Microsoft computers.

Great DVD drive. Looks good, computer recognizes the drive very quickly, and file access seems to have no lag. Bit pricey, but clearly a quality product. All around great drive.

Recently purchased lg's external drive to replace my defunct hp external.... works well except, no play for Blu-ray. But still a dang good buy for what I paid for it.....very good

This product works great. The best part about is that it can be used as flash drive also. I can directly connect to USB port of my TV and play any DVDs.

I have used this only to install programs on my laptop. I have not used it to backup or record anything yet. There have been no problems and it operates just fine.

Nice price for a nice product. So thankful I couldn’t find the Apple one so a BB worker told me the options. This one is close to Apple version for much less money.
