No ultrabooks come with CD drives in them, so windows8 for the ultrabooks doesn't have any CD/DVD reading software. I downloaded some software from the internet, but even then it doesn't read the disks well, skips over parts and if you try to scene select to go to a certain part, sometimes it takes you right back to the main menu!! Though some new DVDs it works better with. It might work well for someone who's using it to burn CDs or DVDs though.

However it was defective out of the box. Kept loosing connection if the USB cord was touched the slightest. Appears the jack on the drive was faulty. No hassle returning it to BestBuy however so that was a plus.
