We understand to hear that it didn’t work as expected. To ensure proper compatibility, please check if your PC's USB port is USB 2.0 or higher, as the drive may not work with certain older USB ports. Also, make sure that the device drivers for the external drive are properly installed, and try connecting it to a different USB port to rule out any potential issues with the connection.

Can't get it to play movies.

We tried to download the software needed from the included disk to play movies. The software kept getting stuck at 96% and would not fully install.

My internal drive on my Mac for some reason is rejecting to mount most of my CDs and when it does it's reading pretty slow. I'll follow up on my review once I test out this LG external Disc Drive.

If you are going to be burning a lot, get something higher quality. As for watching dvds or something, can't say.
