Have used it so far to load software from CD. Works well as I expected. Looks good, compact and priced well. Only negative is that it is a bit noisy. I knew that going in since numerous other reviews mentioned the noise. When you are just loading data, it really doesn't matter. I haven't played a movie or music, but I don't think it is loud enough to interfere.

I would certainly recommend this to anyone. Plus, you get free bonus software with your purchase - added bonus! I enjoy how quick everything runs on the external USB disc drive. The drive can have some noise, but for the most part it runs super smooth and does a great job. Personal note: I'd recommend getting a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 extender so you can move the disc drive around a bit more as the length of the cable supplied with the disc drive isn't super long.

Works flawlessly with plug and play and haven't had any issues yet. Only gripe is that it vibrates loudly but if you're listening with sound on, you won't notice.

Works great. I don't play movies thru it so I cannot speak to the noise level, but I haven't noticed it when in use.
