Great cordless stick vac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There’re a lot of components when first unpacking, but don’t let it overwhelm you. It took about 20 minutes to differentiate where the pieces connect and read the manual. There’s a lot and I was a bit surprised since this is a vacuum. I do like how it comes with a base and slip pads under it to give a nice grip to the floor. I admit, I wasn’t sure how powerful this was going to be when I first powered it on. It was very quiet compared to my other vacuums. The normal setting seemed to do really well on my vinyl flooring. I used my other vacuum earlier in the week and was surprised with the amount of debris this picked up. I know this is going to do a great job keeping my house clean. I did try the turbo cleaning feature, but noticed the battery drained very quickly. It feels great in the hand and takes minimal effort to push on the vinyl floor. I was able to vacuum the stairs in my house with ease. Something I normally fear (of falling), doesn’t bother me anymore. Its ability to pivot and turn help significantly. I didn’t notice some resistance when I vacuumed the carpet areas upstairs. Not sure if it’s suppose to be like this, but time will tell. What I really like is that it can extend if you’re a taller person. Love the sleek and modern look. I like how you can open up the side panels to store the attachments. It’s a nice touch and shows the designers tried to make this top notch. Pros: Lightweight Powerful Quick charge Long battery Clean modern look Very quite 2 rechargeable batteries included Can hold all the attachments hidden away Wall anchor options Cons: Have to purchase replaceable waste bags Can suction a little better under normal setting Overall: I highly recommend this LG cordless vacuum. It’s a tad on the pricey side, but how often do you purchase vacuums? It’s super quiet, so I’ve been able to use it while the kiddos are sleeping. This should last a few years!

Expensive but Worth It
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally pulled the trigger on this one as I didn't feel like taking apart my Dyson to put in an after market battery. This is so much quieter than my Dyson, picks up a lot more, and the battery lasts forever! I can clean my entire house without swapping the battery, and that's even using turbo mode at times. The auto emptying system is awesome, and we keep it in our living room as it's actually a show/conversation piece.

Easy to use, light, noise is tolerable
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The noise it makes seems to be well tolerated by the dogs and cats. The charge does not last very long on the highest power setting. However, it’s easy to use and not heavy, which encourages quick cleanups here and there.

A quiet powerhouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first concern when getting the LG CordZero vacuum was the size of the base station. The concern was real (mostly). The base station, where you hang the vacuum to charge is rather large. Not a lot larger than a full-size vacuum to be fair. Unlike a vacuum though, you have to plug it in, it has to have a couple of inches clearance behind it and about 8 inches of clearance on each side to open the attachment doors. If that wasn't enough, they recommend for it to not be placed on carpet because it might fall over. Now I don't have any hard floors near an outlet so I've put it on my low level carpet and it's fine. Just be aware that this is not recommended. One other item of note is that wherever you place the base station it is designed to not move around a lot. The station is heavy, about 25lbs. Pick a spot and leave it there. I've opened my review with this downer information because it may be a deal-breaker for you. I have had a variety of vacuums and it seems like anything made in this century is good so I didn't know why this would be any different. Here comes the laundry list of why it's different. This is my first cordless vacuum and I have to say, I'm immediately hooked. I can go anyplace in the house without being tethered and it feels good. Once you feel the freedom of no cord, you realize this vacuum isn't loud. Other than a little high pitched shreaking noise that doesn't seem to go away, it is amazingly quiet. To be specific, I registered it at 70db. If I went to the other side of a wall it was only 55db. I could watch TV while someone else was vacuuming the house. Compare that to a cyclone type vacuum that runs about 90db. I'm free to move about and I'm not killing my ears. The next cool thing is its suction. It's like magic. It had no problem picking up everything on my carpet. I have several additional floor rugs in the carpeted and uncarpeted locations in the house. The suction is so gentle that I can run the vacuum over the carpets without them getting sucked up and bent out of shape. Yet it picks up the dirt and dust. Magic! Now we get to the reason that we got this vacuum. We are old school folks and my wife hates the dust bins in all the vacuums. Opening it up to empty means getting a trash bag, putting the device inside and letting it drain so the dust cloud stays in the bag, not the air. The base station of the LG CordZero will automatically suck the contents of the cannister into a bag. No airborne particles to worry about. It is so cool! Yes, we'll have on-going maintenance costs to keep buying bags but for us its worth it. The battery life is good if you run it in normal mode. They estimate 40 minutes or so. It comes with 2 batteries so you'll always have a backup. If you run it in Turbo mode then it will drain in about 6 minutes. I haven't had to put it in Turbo for normal vacuuming but I did have to do it to cut my hair (I have a vacuum based hair cutting device). Because of it's small size (height) , you can get underneath a bed. Something only the robot vacuums could do. Also because of its small size, it doesn't generate a lot of heat in the exhaust. The attachments that come with the unit are sufficient but I wish it included a flexible hose. The attachments are all about a foot long or so. That means you have to hold the base unit where you want to use it. The base unit is pretty small so its easy'ish to hold but it would be nicer to have a flexible hose so I could set it down while dusting and such. You can purchase the hose separately though. Speaking of attachments, that brings me to something that bothers me a lot in the base station. The doors don't open all the way, 90 degrees. They open about 70 degrees so it makes it a bit odd to get to the attachments that are stored in the base. I'm looking at the hinges and unless those doors snap open, they don't feel right. Until I see that this is true, I'm not pushing my luck and having them snap off. In the end, the LG CordZero turns out to be quite a different vacuum. The pros way outweigh cons. My cyclone cleaner may be gifted to a friend. This vacuum is light, quiet, picks up the dirt, doesn't heat the room when doing hand vacuuming, and is gentle at the same time.

Portable, Powerful, Smart, But Not Perfect
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me get the elephant in the room out there first: the charging/unloading dock is massive! You will not tuck this onto the side of a wall somewhere and have it go unnoticed. However, it is black and smooth, and can be put into a corner (assuming you have a power outlet close by) and if there's other furniture or decor around it can be minimized. I put it next to a tv stand and it kind of looks like a speaker so isn't glaringly different. The Wi-Fi connection is through the base/tower as well. The vacuum itself is very nice. It has good suction, runs on batteries so no unwieldy cable, and breaks down into several configurations that are very useful. It has a full length mode with the telescoping portion extended to comfortably use while standing (like a traditional vacuum). The head can be pulled off to use on corners and baseboards. The telescoping portion can be retracted to do furniture or similar height cleaning and it can be completely removed to get into cupboards, stairs, and the like. The suction remains constant through all those modes. We particularly like it for area rugs, baseboards, and our carpeted stairs. So much easier than pulling a traditional vacuum around and works just as well. The convenience of it all even has us pulling it out more often even for small jobs. It comes with 2 batteries and the tower holds the spare battery while the primary is in the vacuum itself. It'll continuously charge the spare and will charge the primary while the vacuum is docked. Incredibly well thought out and always leaves you with power - a big pet peeve of mine with battery devices. When you dock the vacuum, it will run through a sequence that clears out the vacuum bin and puts it into the tower. How long you get between emptying the tower will depend on use obviously, but we've had it for several weeks with daily usage and haven't emptied the tower yet. The tower is also Wi-Fi connected and goes to the LG app we have for other LG products so there was no need to install something new, which was nice. However, there's not a lot of use (to me anyway) for Wi-Fi on a vacuum. It tells you when it's charging, emptying, charged, etc, but really it just does everything automatically so I don't pay much attention to it. One other note is it is pretty quiet for a vacuum. We've kind of become accustomed to appliances getting quieter with technology, but it's still worth mentioning because it is better than a traditional vacuum in that regard as well. Overall, it's incredibly handy and useful, full portable and has enough power to do everyday cleaning or to suck up a little mess. It's quiet and light making it more likely you'll use it on a whim instead of needing a specific reason. The self-unloading tower is great so you don't have to empty the local bin manually. The tower is sleek and smooth in an effort to try to blend it into the decor, but it is still huge and limited in position by it's power needs. An offset to the negative of the size of the tower is that they encompassed as much as possible into it: charging of the vacuum and spare battery, storage of the vacuum itself, and WiFi connectivity. All in all, it's an impressive piece of machinery that is incredible useful to have in the house.

Awesome Cordless Stick Vacuum and All-in-One Tower
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG - CordZero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One Tower is a great, convenient appliance. I have had a chance to use it multiple times and following are my observations: - It comes neatly packaged and was very easy and quick to assemble. - The Quick Step Guide was easy to interpret with diagrams and easy to follow instructions. It gives descriptions on all the buttons, lights and features. - I love how the tower/charging station stores all the tools inside the panels so they are all neatly stored, with easy access. - The tower/charging station can be attached to a wall to secure it, however, it can stand on its own also. I have a flat surface in a corner where I was able to set it up. It sits nice and level and I don't need to attach it to my wall. - The dust bag was already installed and it is easy to empty. - I went with the default setting for the automatic dust-emptying operation. The vacuum will empty every time I finish vacuuming and replace it on the charging base. I love this feature, as most stick vacuums have to be emptied every time you use them. Now I can wait until the bag in the tower is full after multiple uses to empty it. The auto emptying is easy with a button on the side of the dust bin that moves the dust close to the end of the bin so it can be sucked out when the bin is being emptied. It is a loud suction sound when it clears out the dust bin, but it only lasts for a few seconds. - This vacuum comes with two batteries. The base/tower will charge the battery on the unit first, then when it is fully charged, the back up battery starts charging. There is an indicator light on the handle that shows when the battery is fully charged. Having two batteries is so nice! I live in a two story house that also has a finished basement. With previous cordless vacs, I have only been able to vacuum part of the house and then have to wait hours for the battery to recharge before I can finish. With this LG, I was able to vacuum my entire house in one session, which used up one full battery and about half of the second one. I love this feature! - This cordless stick vacuum is a little heavier than some, although still lightweight and much lighter than a normal, corded vacuum, I believe because the batteries are a little larger and last longer than others might. I can vacuum for approximately 45 minutes with one fully-charged battery on the lowest suction. - I found the suction to be good, even on the lowest setting, but if you turn it up all the way to the turbo suction, it really has great suction! This has by far the best suction of any previous stick vacuum I have owned. - The sound of the vacuum while running is relatively quiet compared to most vacs. - I downloaded the LG ThinQ App on my iPhone. For myself, I don't feel this App will be necessary for the normal operation of this stick vacuum. It will allow me to track the timing of filter cleaning and replacement. I can also use it if I need help with trouble-shooting and diagnosis if there are ever problems, rather than referring to the manual. However, you can control various LG appliances with this App, so it is nice to have that control all in one place if you own multiple LG appliances. Overall, I would highly recommend the LG - CordZero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One Tower. It has a lot of great features and is very easy to operate!

Great Dyson high end alternative
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG Cord Zero line has been an impressive set of vacuums that LG has introduced and improved upon since it's induction. LG has a wide array of stick vacuum that fits your liking. This one is model is for its ability to semi self-clean and empty itself which could be rather useful if you're vacuuming often and want an empty and ready to vacuum. One of the greatest selling points of this LG stick vacuum is the fact that it can be a part of or the centerpiece of the room with its sleek docking station hiding the battery charger and accessories inside. With minimal noise when the self-emptying occurs, it'll definitely be a talking point among visitors and will look amazing in the room. Performance on hard wood floors and low-profile carpet and rugs has been very impressive but seems to perform a bit lower on high profile carpets. Luckily, I only have one high profile rug, I guess. Battery life has been as good as advertised and it's very comfortable to hold while using as well. My only ripe about this model is the fact that you'll have to buy the tower bags often if you're a heavy user and they're not exactly cheap for a expensive stick vac. All in all, this is a very stylish stick vac with a lot to offer, but it is not a cheap one to own. Thanks.
