Portable, Powerful, Smart, But Not Perfect
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me get the elephant in the room out there first: the charging/unloading dock is massive! You will not tuck this onto the side of a wall somewhere and have it go unnoticed. However, it is black and smooth, and can be put into a corner (assuming you have a power outlet close by) and if there's other furniture or decor around it can be minimized. I put it next to a tv stand and it kind of looks like a speaker so isn't glaringly different. The Wi-Fi connection is through the base/tower as well. The vacuum itself is very nice. It has good suction, runs on batteries so no unwieldy cable, and breaks down into several configurations that are very useful. It has a full length mode with the telescoping portion extended to comfortably use while standing (like a traditional vacuum). The head can be pulled off to use on corners and baseboards. The telescoping portion can be retracted to do furniture or similar height cleaning and it can be completely removed to get into cupboards, stairs, and the like. The suction remains constant through all those modes. We particularly like it for area rugs, baseboards, and our carpeted stairs. So much easier than pulling a traditional vacuum around and works just as well. The convenience of it all even has us pulling it out more often even for small jobs. It comes with 2 batteries and the tower holds the spare battery while the primary is in the vacuum itself. It'll continuously charge the spare and will charge the primary while the vacuum is docked. Incredibly well thought out and always leaves you with power - a big pet peeve of mine with battery devices. When you dock the vacuum, it will run through a sequence that clears out the vacuum bin and puts it into the tower. How long you get between emptying the tower will depend on use obviously, but we've had it for several weeks with daily usage and haven't emptied the tower yet. The tower is also Wi-Fi connected and goes to the LG app we have for other LG products so there was no need to install something new, which was nice. However, there's not a lot of use (to me anyway) for Wi-Fi on a vacuum. It tells you when it's charging, emptying, charged, etc, but really it just does everything automatically so I don't pay much attention to it. One other note is it is pretty quiet for a vacuum. We've kind of become accustomed to appliances getting quieter with technology, but it's still worth mentioning because it is better than a traditional vacuum in that regard as well. Overall, it's incredibly handy and useful, full portable and has enough power to do everyday cleaning or to suck up a little mess. It's quiet and light making it more likely you'll use it on a whim instead of needing a specific reason. The self-unloading tower is great so you don't have to empty the local bin manually. The tower is sleek and smooth in an effort to try to blend it into the decor, but it is still huge and limited in position by it's power needs. An offset to the negative of the size of the tower is that they encompassed as much as possible into it: charging of the vacuum and spare battery, storage of the vacuum itself, and WiFi connectivity. All in all, it's an impressive piece of machinery that is incredible useful to have in the house.

Awsome vacuum, not so great stand.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the vacuum is awsome, the fact that bags are hard to get means that the base that cost extra will eventually be worthless.

Self empty does not work well
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cool concept but the self empty feature has never worked right. I worked with LG to try to fix it and it was such a pain I stopped and we just hand empty it.

Great Vacuum Cleaner but the App is Broken
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review was a little tough because I wanted to review just the vacuum cleaner itself, but it is marketed as being a wi-fi product that interfaces with its own LG ThinQ app, so the fact that I cannot get the LG ThinQ app to work at all is a source of frustration that reduced my review from 5 to 4 stars. As far as the vacuum cleaner itself is concerned, it is very lightweight (compared to a couple cordless vacuum cleaners that I already have) and seems to have very good suction. Another really nice thing is that the vacuum cleaner does a very good job with bare floors. With some other vacuum cleaners, the rollers will "kick out" particles and dirt before it is actually sucked up, which means going back-and-forth with the vacuum cleaner until the debris is actually picked up. That is not a problem with this vacuum cleaner. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it at first, but I really like the stand that it comes with. Other cordless vacuum cleaners require some type of wall mounting or the cord just dangles from the wall to the vacuum cleaner when charging. In this unit, everything is self-contained within the cabinet, making it look much nicer. I had to hide my other cordless vacuum cleaners in closets because they are unsightly when stored (and when charging). This unit sits right in the room in which I use it the most and actually looks pretty good. Another really nice thing about the cabinet is that it has doors on both sides that are used for storing the accessories. No more having to hide the accessories in a cabinet (or losing them as a result). Very well implemented! Kudos on that design! Another really cool thing that I did not even realize was a feature is that the vacuum cleaner itself empties itself when docked in the storage/charging station and is collected in a bag with in the storage/charging unit itself. The bag is not huge, so it will be interesting to see how long it takes to fill up. The vacuum can be manually "dumped" before putting it back in the storage/charging station, though, which can minimize the number of times the bag in the storage/charging station needs to be replaced. The unit is shipped with two batteries, which is awesome. Furthermore, the storage/charging station accommodates and charges both batteries (one on its own and the other while it is inside the vacuum cleaner itself). I have no idea how long the battery lasts on its own during use as I have never come close to fully discharging it while vacuuming before plugging it back in to the storage/charging station. The main attachment (rigid tube with the cleaning head attached) was designed to adjust to different lengths, which is really nice as I am rather tall, yet my wife is not. I fully extend the tube and she keeps it shorter. Having used other cordless vacuum cleaners with a tube that is a fixed length, I cannot state how nice this is. Lastly, this is indeed a vacuum cleaner and all those features would be useless if the vacuum cleaner is ineffective and vacuuming. In this regard, I am very happy as well. While I pretty much always switch the unit over to "turbo" mode to increase suction power (I have never even come close to draining the battery while vacuuming my house, so it almost seems like that should be a default setting), the amount of dirt, pet hair, etc. picked up by the vacuum cleaner rivals that of my plug-in vacuum cleaner. The unit also includes a pet attachment that has a rubber roller that can be easily removed to clean. Again, the only thing that I found very annoying was that I have yet to be able to get the LG ThinQ application to work on my iPhone. I downloaded the app, installed it, and whenever I go to login using my LG username and password, the login information is deleted and it just sits at the login screen. (Sometimes I receive the error "oauth: signature fail", whatever that means.) Despite numerous attempts to uninstall and reinstall the app, along with trying different methods to login (besides using my LG information), I have yet to be able to login. Therefore, I cannot review the app and how it works with this vacuum cleaner, which is a bummer because I was looking forward to seeing the features within the app and seeing how it helps with maintenance of the unit. If the application actually worked, I would probably rate this vacuum cleaner with 5 stars. After spending time texting back-and-forth with LG technical support on the issue without any resolution, I finally gave up and have resigned myself to not being able to use the app with the unit. I suppose the app really does not matter all that much as it appears to be designed to interface with all types of LG appliance, not just the vacuum cleaner. Still... Very frustrating experience. So, in summary, the vacuum cleaner is great and the storage/charging stand really is well designed. I already have two cordless vacuum cleaners at home and this one will be replacing both of those. I am very happy with this vacuum cleaner and would recommend it to anyone, just as long as you do not plan on using the wi-fi feature in conjunction with their broken ThinQ app.

Awesome Cordless Stick Vacuum and All-in-One Tower
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG - CordZero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One Tower is a great, convenient appliance. I have had a chance to use it multiple times and following are my observations: - It comes neatly packaged and was very easy and quick to assemble. - The Quick Step Guide was easy to interpret with diagrams and easy to follow instructions. It gives descriptions on all the buttons, lights and features. - I love how the tower/charging station stores all the tools inside the panels so they are all neatly stored, with easy access. - The tower/charging station can be attached to a wall to secure it, however, it can stand on its own also. I have a flat surface in a corner where I was able to set it up. It sits nice and level and I don't need to attach it to my wall. - The dust bag was already installed and it is easy to empty. - I went with the default setting for the automatic dust-emptying operation. The vacuum will empty every time I finish vacuuming and replace it on the charging base. I love this feature, as most stick vacuums have to be emptied every time you use them. Now I can wait until the bag in the tower is full after multiple uses to empty it. The auto emptying is easy with a button on the side of the dust bin that moves the dust close to the end of the bin so it can be sucked out when the bin is being emptied. It is a loud suction sound when it clears out the dust bin, but it only lasts for a few seconds. - This vacuum comes with two batteries. The base/tower will charge the battery on the unit first, then when it is fully charged, the back up battery starts charging. There is an indicator light on the handle that shows when the battery is fully charged. Having two batteries is so nice! I live in a two story house that also has a finished basement. With previous cordless vacs, I have only been able to vacuum part of the house and then have to wait hours for the battery to recharge before I can finish. With this LG, I was able to vacuum my entire house in one session, which used up one full battery and about half of the second one. I love this feature! - This cordless stick vacuum is a little heavier than some, although still lightweight and much lighter than a normal, corded vacuum, I believe because the batteries are a little larger and last longer than others might. I can vacuum for approximately 45 minutes with one fully-charged battery on the lowest suction. - I found the suction to be good, even on the lowest setting, but if you turn it up all the way to the turbo suction, it really has great suction! This has by far the best suction of any previous stick vacuum I have owned. - The sound of the vacuum while running is relatively quiet compared to most vacs. - I downloaded the LG ThinQ App on my iPhone. For myself, I don't feel this App will be necessary for the normal operation of this stick vacuum. It will allow me to track the timing of filter cleaning and replacement. I can also use it if I need help with trouble-shooting and diagnosis if there are ever problems, rather than referring to the manual. However, you can control various LG appliances with this App, so it is nice to have that control all in one place if you own multiple LG appliances. Overall, I would highly recommend the LG - CordZero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One Tower. It has a lot of great features and is very easy to operate!

My new favorite stick vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LG Cord Zero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One Tower This is my new favorite cordless stick vacuum. It's super lightweight at only about 6 pounds. The handle is comfortable and the power and mode buttons are easy to push. It offers 3 power modes- Normal/Power/Turbo. There's also a battery indicator, clogged objects indicator, filter cleaning indicator and WiFi indicator. It easily pushes, pulls and maneuvers around the hard floors and carpeted floors. The extendable wand is also a favorite of mine to be able to shorten and lengthen the height while vacuuming to work with my needs without stopping is huge. You can even detach the stick and it's a great hand held vacuum for smaller spaces. To manually empty the bin, it's super easy to open and clean. There is a compressor lever that pushes all of the dirt and hair down off the filter and walls into the bottom. It gives you more cleaning time and it's easier for everything to dump out. The LG Cord Zero Cordless Stick Vacuum also includes a charging station. It's a whole tower that stores and charges the vacuum. It has great storage that houses all the accessory tools while also charging the extra battery, and will even automatically empty the dust bin. It has an easy-to-read display on the control panel. It will show you the dust emptying operation status, charging the extra battery or the dust emptying mode. I feel like it's impressive with what's included in the package. It's not just 1 battery but 2! There's a lot of versatility with the included accessories- a cleaning brush, combination tool and crevice tool. There's also the universal nozzle and mini nozzle, extra pre-filter and 3 dust bags for the tower. I currently own a LG washer and dryer that I have connected to their LG ThinQ app. It was quick and easy to add my new Cordless stick vacuum to the app. The app will be helpful by giving me a cleaning history, notify me to clean the filter, tell me what mode I'm in and has a smart diagnosis if I have some issues. I have the other well-known stick vacuums and I'm switching to this one. I love how lightweight and versatile it is with the telescoping wand. The stand is nice so I don't need to have a separate bin to store all of the accessories and it's always charged and ready to go.

Best Buy Sent a Used Vacuum
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't speak to the quality of the product because Best Buy sent a used vacuum and I returned it immediately. Opened the box to find a dented, scratched, and clearly used vacuum. The dust collection bin had dirt, crumbs, and stickers in it...Who in the world packaged this up and sent it to a customer!?! Returned it and purchased the same thing elsewhere.

||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer makes me give them one star. I would not give them a single star. After two months use this vacuum just died. I sent it back to LG on November 7th - they just give me the brush off, no vacuum no answer - just blah blah blah. So, they have my vacuum and my $600. and I have nothing. how can a company get away with this?
