Plugged it in connected the HDMI and it was up and running simple setup easy to use. Have not used the USB feature yet.

I have another of the same model. I got this for TV in another room. It is a good basic DVD player. When you stop play & then resume,it continues from place you left off. Not all cheaper dvd players do that . I have basic 720 & 1080pp Insignia & Toshiba TVs. It works well with those TVs. I don't know how good it is with a higher resolution TV. I have not used the other features. I only use it to play DVDs. The small size is a plus. I have not tried the new one yet to see if it works. I probably wouldn't pay more than $30 because it is so basic. & I had to get a price match to make it that price.

I just don't like it does not have the buttons on the front of the dvd player to push so if you loose your remote you have no way of stop/play or pause.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.just plug & play. 2 AAA batteries come with the package for the remote; composite (yellow, red, white) cables were included but you'll need to buy an HDMI cable separately. when i first played an anime DVD-ROM disc I purchased (sadly a lot of anime is being sold as DVD-ROM nowadays) it played it as 480p; I kept clicking the resolution button on the remote until it went to 1080p. played everything I've put in it so far very well.

She loves it and cost for me was the factor in choosing it (also the LG name). Can't go wrong for $30.00/

Easy to move from room to room and rake on the go. The remote quick set to the tv and i didnt have to do any programing. However for being such a base product id say i overpayed.
