Plays fine, other functions a little slow

So far we've not had any major issues, however, there's a lengthy delay for some of the mechanical operations of this device. Although the remote control is very responsive, that act of opening the disc tray seems obscenely long, and the process of initializing/reading the disc for any DVD menu seems lengthy as well. That being said, for just playing discs, it's done a great job, especially considering just how scratched some of my roommate discs are. It's a good enough player given that we needed one at the last minute after moving to a new home.

If so you're fine, however you'll soon see this thing will have you closely examining movies you thought were in great shape only to notice a light surface mark or fingerprint or something ridiculously petty that happens to many DVD's over time. I'm saying, it's good overall, but it's also very sensitive. Can't give a top rating to something overly sensitive.
