Didn't work, made a loud after inserting the disc. I don't recommend this to anyone.

This LG DVD player is amazing! It is so affordable and plays pictures so clear. It was also so easy to set up and doesn't take up to much space because it is small.

I bought the DVD player because I was looking for a good priced player. It was in my budget and had decent reviews. It looked very nice in the store and I was sold. Easy to hookup and it's a great player I've had for about 3 months and I'm so happy that I got it. I loved the fact its mp3 player too. My granddaughter plays DVDs everyday so it gets a lot of use and has held up. Great player for your movies.

I initially went in for a basic bare bones model DVD player & simply wanted a respectable brand. Ok, LG, got a respectable brand. Then I noticed that this model (which doesn't seem to list it in the description) is a HDMI upconvert model AND is at the time I found it the same price as the bare bones (or basic) model. So why not get the upconvert model as I intend to use it with a 1080p TV in my bedroom? Ok cool. Thankfully it has basic red, white & yellow A/V cords included as all my HDMI cords are currently in use, so it's usable until I can grab another HDMI cord. My friend has the basic model and the remote is kinda small, while not significantly bigger it is just big enough to feel like a legitimate DVD remote, which is a plus of course. I really can't find anything negative here, provided it lasts a good length of time it's packed with as many features as you could hope for from a DVD player and out of the box, setup & initial impressions are all good. Time will tell how good this is but all signs give me reason to be optimistic there. Definitely recommend unless you want or need a Blu Ray player.

I bought the dvd player for its ability to play MP3 discs, but I haven’t tested it yet for those. It plays regular dvds fine, just with less sharpness than blueray. Great price though.

Needed a player for the kids room but did not want to spend a lot of money so I got this one. It works very well and is easy to use. The kids love it and we are very happy with it.

Needed to replace my old DVD player quickly for a Lord of the Rings marathon viewing. This was a quick and cost effective way to keep the fun rolling. Great remote and east set up.

LG makes good products and this works well for what it is, but make sure you understand this does not have an HDMI output.

The unit is supposed to be region-free, but I have PAL discs it will not play, asking me to "check region." I purchased the product because I have a number of non-NTSC discs I wish to watch, but cannot do so. In addition, it will not play some NTSC discs that other dvd players will play. Although when it does play discs it performs well, I find this LG product to have been a bad purchase, and not worth even it's low price.
