No longer compatible with AT&T

AT&T is doing away with 3G service so some unlocked phones - the majority - are no longer compatible. This happens to be one of the phones that falls into that category. As of today, it is still listed as being compatible with AT&T even though it is not. I prefer unlocked phones because they usually do not have the bloatware most carriers add to a phone. The G8X has a nice build, and the dual screen was interesting. I do not recommend this phone to anyone planning to use it with AT&T. Save your money. Best buy was great. I was able to return the phone and received a full refund.

It cracked easy and the second screen stopped working. It was great for awhile with the second screen setup and the ability to increase memory. It could be a good phone. It couldn't keep up with the beating that I put on it.

It felt clunky and unpleasant to use without the dual screen case on--it's taller and heavier than the regular LG G8, and missing the button/fingerprint sensor on the back that I loved on the G6 and G7. The dual screen case is a fun novelty and it worked well enough, but it's heavy enough (and seemed fragile enough) that I wouldn't want to use it all the time, especially since the middle bezels limit its usefulness. It's cool, but it doesn't feel well designed enough to seem like a completely integrated experience. And as far as I can tell there aren't any case options out there that offer extra protection for the dual screen setup. I returned it.

The other thing is that the dual concept of the phone works only if you attach them together... I also wished that the display on the dual front screen came with cooler options...overall its a fairly decent phone with good picture quality.
