    Good laptop for engineering

I bought this laptop for my college courses in engineering, and the laptop lives up to its standards. My only complaints were that I had to format one of the SSDs in order to reach the 1 TB capacity, and the laptop becomes ridiculously hot if you use it while charging. Otherwise, it handles a hefty workload of taking notes/using engineering software/watching videos. I would definitely recommend this to users looking for a good 2 in 1.

I returned the first 2 laptops I ordered because the back of the laptop looked like it wasn't put together correctly. There is a seam right above the fans in the back of the laptop and the seal wasn't properly sealed together, so you could actually click the bottom piece of the laptop together. I was worried this could cause future issues. The 3rd laptop I ordered still had a bit of a problem, but I chose to keep it. This LG Gram 14 was the only laptop with all the features I wanted. I would have preferred a dedicated graphics card, but decided this would do the job. The laptop is very lightweight so it is easy to move around with it. The battery seems to last a long time. It was very easy and intuitive to set up. I did notice the laptop seems to get hot when I lay it on top of me to work while I am in bed, so that is a bummer. I've only had the laptop for a couple of weeks, so more to come later.

Excellent 2 in 1 Tablet for Digital Artists!

After lots of (probably too much) researching for a new digital art tablet after my beloved Toshiba Dynapad had finally run down, I settled on the LG Gram 2 in 1 & it's been absolutely everything I'd hoped for! I've been using it daily for about a year & it's still just as amazing as the day I got it! I am a student digital artist & I was looking particularly for a tablet that I could use for digital drawing directly on the screen with a stylus pen like I was used to with my old Toshiba, while also offering enough power to run quickly and load up Adobe programs for school (that my Toshiba couldn't). One thing that especially drew me to the LG Gram 2 in 1 was that the software for the stylus is the same as the Wacom stylus pen included with my Toshiba & it has certainly not disappointed me! The sensitivity and pressure are excellent & feels even better to draw with than my older system. The palm rejection is also really good for a touchscreen, but I'd still recommend getting a drawing glove to avoid stray marks. Drawing in tablet mode is very comfortable and this thing is so incredibly light (not to the mention the battery life is incredibly long & super fast to charge), you can take it & draw anywhere! (There is a slight lag when switching into tablet mode, but it doesn't bother me at all) The screen is gorgeous & so vivid! Perfect for picking colors and drawing small details, as well as streaming shows and playing video games! Speaking of games, they run surprisingly well on this machine (but I definitely wouldn't call it a gaming computer by any means), though I've only played things like the Portal games & Minecraft so far. Overall, it's been a very versatile little laptop & I'd recommend it to any digital illustrators who are looking for a capable 2 in 1 with an excellent pen stylus that's super portable & has lots of space! I didn't know LG even made computers before I found this gem, but they've certainly impressed me!

I was just perusing the best buy in my neck of the woods when I stumbled upon this fabulous deal. An open box LG Gram!!! I had been coveting one of these for awhile, and my old laptop was on the fritz. It must have been serendipity. I snatched it up as quickly as I could and haven't looked back. I guess if I had only one issue (albeit minor) it would be the charging cable. My old Dell I could plug in either side with USB-C...this guy only has the one port on the left. Which make the cables less than convenient if my only available plug is on my right and I'm needing to charge while working....Oh well...first world problems for sure.

I’ve had this laptop for about 8 months - it was great in that time, but does heat up a lot, to the point where it’s too hot to touch. A few days ago, out of nowhere, it would not power on whatsoever - went to the (awesome) Geek Squad at Best Buy and they tried to open it up to see what was going on but couldn’t because of LG’s warranty plan (you have to ship it to them if you want to get your data off of). Will not be buying from LG again. Background - mechanical engineering student that uses laptop for 8-12 hours per day, both as regular tablet and laptop.

Bought this for my daughter as she started college. This 2-in1 is extremely fast and the battery lasts her all day. She dropped it out of my truck on accident and unbelievably survived with a few scratches (I did pay for accidental breakage warranty as I foresaw this happening). Couldn't be happier!

I love the laptop but it has run hot (160 degrees F and u from day one) When I finally got a answer from LG it was to late to get out of the sale. Best Buy nor LG has one to exchange me so I will have to go without my computer for 2 to 3 weeks and then I start over on installing everything I was using. Life;s not Good when buying LG

My son had a gram 15" laptop that he loved so when I saw the 2 in 1 I thought I would give it a try. I have this laptop for a few weeks now and I really love the light-weight, long battery life and super responsive Wacom Pen that is included in the box. The port selection is also great. I have seen most of the other brands for comparison but gram has most of the useful ports that I use frequently. So far I have no complaints.

Motherboard died 5 weeks out of warranty

I absolutely loved this laptop when I purchased it. The speakers are terrible, but I mostly use headphones so that didn't bother me. However, the motherboard died after 13 months... 5 weeks out of warranty. Repair quotes are $500-$900. It was not dropped, nothing was spilled on it, and it's always plugged into a surge protector. I expect a $1500 computer to last well beyond it's warranty, not 5 weeks past it. I won't be purchasing anything made by LG in the future.
