Big screen, light weight
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a lot of LG appliances in my house, but this is the first LG computer I’ve tried. After a few days of using the new Gram laptop, I’m loving it! The screen is crisp, clear, and plenty big for working on it all day. The battery life is great, and I can slide it in my backpack without a charger and know that I’ll be able to use it off and on all day with no worries. Since it does have a large screen, another advantage of that is having plenty of real estate available for the keyboard. The keys aren’t crammed together and fit comfortably under my fingers. The numeric pad is likewise a comfortable size and easy to use without accidentally hitting two digits at once. And this is probably a silly thing to mention, but I love that it still has a button above the keypad that opens the calculator app. That small convenience saves me so much time compared to hunting for it with the mouse like I do on my other computers. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it charges via USB-C and not a proprietary connector. It also doesn’t require a special charger (or squawk at you about using an official LG charger) as long as you use one that provides up to 65W. The included charger lists its output as 5v/3A=15W, 9v/3A=27W, 15v/3A=45W, or 20v/3.25A=65W. I just used one of my existing 65W wall chargers and it was perfectly happy. For having such a large, beautiful screen on it the Gram is surprisingly thin and lightweight. My company-provided work laptop has a much smaller screen and weighs about twice as much as this one. The case also feels plenty rugged, so I’m confident that it’ll protect the screen while it’s in my backpack. LG has the ThinQ app for phones that’s useful for some things like monitoring my fridge temps or setting the temps on my mini-split air conditioner. The Gram laptop can also be added to the app, but so far, I haven’t found that particular feature very useful. It does have the ability to “find my laptop” where you can find, lock, or even initialize the laptop if someone else gets a hold of it, but hopefully I’ll never have to use that. The app also has a link to the user manual if you need that. Overall, I’m super happy with this laptop. It’s a great platform for getting work done, but also for spending some down time streaming or watching movies.

Strong Performer in a Light Footprint
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used LG Gram laptops in the past and I was very impressed with the previous versions and was interested to see how the newer model stands up. Very well to cut to the chase! First, the form factor is solid but light. Its one of the lightest laptops of this size I have used. Second, the 17" screen is big and beautiful. The WQXGA screen reduces glare and shows colors correctly. Third, performance. The Intel Ultra 7 process is the new standard for speed. Paired with the 32GB of RAM, this machine will plow through office tasks, spreadsheets, etc. Fourth, the integrated graphics show what this machine is used for. you have to know what this laptop is built for. This is not a strong gaming machine nor is it a powerhouse for digital artists. These tasks can be performed but for the specific tasks, this may not be the machine. This is a great laptop for students or road warriors that are looking for performance, compatibility and a light form factor. If you need a strong performance machine for business or school use, this is a strong contender!

Well-built Laptop that can handle your daily needs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a general use computer, if you don’t like writing in general, don’t need to draw your notes at all, don’t prefer digital notes, or have a secondary device like an iPad or Remarkable, this would make an excellent school device as well. Games like World of Warships, Fortnite, Roblox, Minecraft, or Goat Simulator do well on this and look good. If you are looking for a laptop with a big bright screen that can handle a ton this is an extremely nice option. The keyboard is really comfortable and not crammed together at all, I also love that the number pad has a tiny bit of separation between it and the normal part of the keyboard. The travel is excellent for typing at least for my hands and I don’t press the wrong key at all with it. The click of the keys also feel really nice which isn’t always easy with a thin laptop. The build of the computer is really nice, it is super thin but still sturdy; I can pick up the laptop by a corner and still use the mouse which I consider a good test for the actual sturdiness and build quality. The lid and keyboard area feels metal but the bottom is plastic. It’s sturdy and this doesn’t bug me but it’s worth noticing. The sound system is kind of crazy for such a slim device, the description says 3D sound and I have to say they delivered pretty well, I am seriously impressed. Is it as good as a good headset, not quite, but while I was playing Fortnite it actually made things have depth and direction, for movies these are more than sufficient for me to enjoy a movie without headsets, granted I’ll probably use a headset anyway just because when there are multiple people around headsets just make sense. Bluetooth, USB wireless, USB wired, and Aux wired all worked perfectly with this. The left side has 2 USB C ports that are capable of charging the laptop as well as and HDMI, the USB C ports also support video and you can dock this laptop with a USB C docking station or with my monitors it that are USB C directly they just plug right in which is really nice. On the right had side are two USB A (normal USB) with an Aux port. I think that the better design is to have a USB C and USB A port on each side so I don’t love this arrangement as sometimes it makes more sense to charge from the left and sometimes the right. I installed Linux subsystem, visual studio code, docker desktop, a 2D CAD program, mathCAD, and a few other things and I can run all of it and a bunch of tabs at the same time. I got up to 75% memory usage, but that is running discord, Roblox, docker, studio code, some other small programs and 77 tabs of Microsoft edge, 32GB makes such a difference for windows as you just don’t really have to worry about RAM utilization all with 32GB of RAM (it isn’t upgradable). But this is also where it gets interesting, there are two NVMe SSD slots, I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve seen this on a laptop and so I had to install a second hard drive and try to get Linux running on it, but I forgot how much Windows does not like dual boot nowadays and every time I booted back to windows I had to put in my bitlocker code. I ended up enabling hyper V and just having a few different flavors that way instead as well as moving several of my games to the drive. Basically, I have twice as much storage to work with now. The battery lasts quite some time as well, I like the brightness up there and processing utilization up there so I’m not getting 25 hours out of it, but it is an all day battery unless you are watching movies or gaming and then it is still a several hour battery (5+ I think I got out of it) The screen is giant, bright, and clear. 2k just works better on windows 11 and this screen is perfectly matched with the OS. There is a ton of LG bloatware, from their update software to things like a user manual (which was nice for looking up the F2 and F10 to get into the BIOS and boot menu respectively). There is also Anti-Virus and an LG AI built in. Overall, this is a well built PC perfect for someone that just needs a comfortable, thin, big screened, well performing machine. Pros: Slot for second NVMe hard drive Comfortable keyboard USB C charging Large Crisp screen Long lasting battery Excellent sound Thin Cons: There is some bloatware Integrated (non-upgradable RAM) USB C is only on left side USB A is only on right side

Awesome Unit, great everyday computer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 17” display is a monster which adequately lets you view 2 documents side by side. Excel sheets, financial tools such as quickbook and websites feel extremely natural not stretched. I found myself not needing a second monitor when working with this laptop. The screen resolution is amazing for recreational or office use. It did have a slight glare in extremely bright outdoor settings as most laptops struggle with this but absolutely stunning indoors and in normal settings. It was very smooth handling multiple functions at once where there was no slowness and it was very fluid changing from task to task. The laptop itself is very thin and felt very light in my backpack. It was like I didn’t have any extra weight on me toating this around. The battery life is exceptional. I had heavy use for two days and it didn’t need a recharge. The only negative for me is it did heat up rather quickly but that can be expected for such a slim model. The performance never stuttered however and it kept on working. If you are looking for a thin, responsive and large screen that can handle your basic computing needs and everyday workload, this will do just fine.

Lightweight Body, Heavyweight Performance!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a full‑sized laptop, but it’s incredibly lightweight at just over 3 pounds. The numpad has been surprisingly convenient, and the port selection is honestly more than I ever need: two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB‑A 3.2 ports, an audio/mic jack, and a dedicated HDMI port. If you use this for presentations, editing, or multitasking, you won’t feel limited. It even includes an RJ45‑to‑USB‑C adapter for wired internet, which is a nice touch. Now onto the processing power. Anything I’ve thrown at this laptop has been handled with ease—video editing, homework, lesson planning, and even some light gaming. The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor paired with 32GB of RAM makes everything smooth. The RAM speed (7500 MHz) is definitely noticeable with zero lag and fast processing times. The integrated AI features have also been genuinely helpful and make the overall experience feel seamless. The LG Gram Link software is another great addition. Being able to mirror my screen across devices—especially my iOS devices—is super convenient. The Dolby Atmos 360 audio is also pretty impressive for a laptop. The only area I wish were improved is the screen brightness. At 350 nits, it leaves me wanting a bit more, especially in brighter environments. That said, the resolution itself looks great. Overall, this is a really good laptop!
