I read mixed reviews on this, some saying how bad it is that the controls are not where one expects them. I LOVE THIS INNOVATION. The front is sleek, clean looking, and really easy to clean. Putting buttons UNDER the door is brilliant. (You always have to open the door anyway.) Really like the touch and slide timing control (on front). The automated cook sensors actually work well. The light inside is nice and bright, and the round glass plate is HUGE (totally fills the inside of machine. No wasted space here. This microwave is the same size as my old one, but has TONS more room inside. GREAT DESIGN.

This is replacing the GE oven I had for only a few years. I'm giving LG a chance. The one I had BEFORE the GE lasted something like 10 years. The functions on this new LG are very easy to use and helpful as well. Plus it looks great. :-)

Easy to use. Very spacious. Has a lot of advanced setting too. The design is very clean and appealing. My whole family loves it.

I love this microwave, but it does have a couple quirks. First things first, it's huge (and they make a bigger one!). You can basically fit an Amy's pizza right in it. I've never done that but there's definitely room for it. It also heats things faster than any microwave I've ever used, and I've had some that I really liked. Things that I used to set for 2 minutes I generally run for 1:30 now, and get similar results. It does make some noise -- the rotating plate seems to clank around a lot (and maybe that's just mine?). It also kills wifi if you're standing by it on your phone (and not the safest? I'd go in the other room if I was trying to have kids). The controls take some getting used to. There's no keypad, just a slider with a + and - on each end. You swipe right to add time. I don't really love this, hitting three buttons is easier than trying to swipe 1:30 exactly each time. I also find it a little annoying b/c if I want to set a lower power option, I have to use the door controls to set the time, then open the door to lower the power, then close the door and hit start (unless there's an easier way I haven't found). Sensor presets actually seem to work pretty well too -- the only hiccup I've had was with a really brothy soup that it wanted to evaporate all the broth from. Otherwise it's good for frozen entree, etc. I would definitely recommend this if you have the counter space.

Very nice microwave!! Easy to use even though there is no number pad. It is a little louder than my last ten year old Kenmore. Have not had it very long but have used it a lot. I would recommend very highly!

I have exchange the same model twice, a year apart. While it’s working, it works as expected, heats up food evenly and has the power it needs to defrost. I like the minimalist look. Beware of the new BestBuy protection plan, they made you send your microwave for repair which takes up to 9 weeks. They do not exchange it at the store anymore. After the long… they will either repair or exchange it.

We like that the buttons are on the inside of the microwave. It looks sleek and is a very powerful microwave. Love the LG appliances. This goes well with our other LG black fingerprint resistant appliances.

This microwave was a purchase for my 92 yr old mother. I was looking for something that would be easy to use yet something that was of good quality. This microwave fit the bill. Like the sleekness and also the sturdiness, unlike other ones that move around when pressing the buttons or closing the door. Even my mother noticed this because although her previous microwave was larger it was not as sturdy. Having the number pad on the inside is what won me over. It is easier fo mom to use having the basic start and stop buttons on the outside of the door, less confusion for her. If I could make one small change with this microwave it would be to have a brighter inside light, just a tad too dim for 92 yr old eyes. Oh, also like the no handle or button to push to open the door. It has an area for your fingers to just grab and pull open. Am happy with this LG product.

Every microwave should be an inverter microwave. As far as I know only Panasonic and LG make inverter microwaves, so buy one of these or buy a Panasonic. This unit works very well. I like the user interface. It is pretty to look at. Easy to clean. The 1.5 cubic foot and 2.0 cubic foot microwaves have a sensor but (disappointment) the smaller (0.9 cubic foot) unit has no sensor.

This is very smart design, I liked the touchpad and the looks most. Functionality is as expected and it is easy to clean.

After 12 years with my old micro., I thought I'd miss it! After a month or more now with this one, I'm very pleased. It's easy to operate, fairly quiet, and working perfectly.

Beautiful appliance! Very powerful for its size and easy to operate

After about 10 years our trusty LG microwave finally quit. I was pleased to see LG’s latest Microwave at Best Buy. The dimensions were very close to my old LG. This microwave is sleek and modern. Everything seems to cook more thoroughly with the LG NeoChef’s Inverter technology. I thought I wanted lighted number buttons on my next Microwave but the NeoChef’s touch sensitive slide-bar time setting means I don’t need numbered buttons at all. Very happy with LGs features and quality. My wallet is happy too. This Microwave offers great bang for the buck.

This sleek machine is nice powerful microwave with a good sensor (especially for popcorn), however; my LG microwave before this had a couple more options such as butter, to soften or melt, (which was a feature I used a lot) and a beverage heating option. It also has a pull door which I’m not sure if I like yet. Besides that it’s a good simple microwave that gets the job done.

love the power and size of this unit. nice melody to signal end of cooking. easy to operate. one complaint . . .the numbers and buttons do not illuminate. if your kitchen is dark, they will be hard to see.

This microwave replaced larger unit and we were worried that it would not have enough power. However, it has done everything it asked of us. It also is much quiet latching on closing. This was an ongoing problem in our previous microwave. The only thing to be aware of is that it does not have a regular number pad. However, we use the add 30 second button almost exclusively so it has not been an issues.

This microwave has an elegant modern design look, power to shorten cooking time and sensors to remove the quessing of settings for certain categories of meals. Distribution of heat is fairly uniform. Some people find the musical alerts a little annoying, however, I find it better than the usual beeps on my previous microwave. The tones can be completely shut off using the hints found on the internet. The control keys except for start, stop and a time change bar are hidden behind the microwave door. There are no number keys, however, using the +/- keys works fairly rapidly once you get the hang of it. The exterior start key also permits incremental 30 second cooking settings as an alternative to using the hidden cooking keys and functions.

Excellent microwave, looks and ease of use is perfect addition to countertop

This microwave looks great and has a lot of different options, however it does not always get food to the right temperature when using the sensor functionality.

Great small microwave easy to use. Does everything we need it to do. Looks good on the counter doesn’t take up a lot of space.
