LG NeoChef brings a new sensibility to countertop microwave design. The look is minimal and elegant, one you’ll be proud to showcase in your kitchen. The performance is impressive, with the power and precision of the LG Smart Inverter combined with the ease of Sensor Cooking. It senses optimal temperatures and automatically turns off the microwave, eliminating the guesswork. Generous capacity and the splatter-resistant EasyClean interior elevate cooking and cleaning convenience to a new level.
A: There is a youtube video on how to turn off the annoying sound of an LG microwave. It is slightly a different model but we followed the steps by guessing which similar buttons to press and it worked!. Here is the youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ci0c-K3sJyc For our LG microwave (LG NeoChef MS2596OS) press and hold the 'Clear' button then press the 'Keep Warm' button for 5 seconds then the display will show the changing state 'On' or 'Off" of the beep sound. Here I uploaded the picture of the microwave panel and which buttons we pressed. I hope this help.
A: From the back bulge of the microwave to the front edge surface of the microwave door, the depth reported in the question is correct at 17 inches by my measurement. However, from the back bulge on the microwave to the forward edge of the front feet is 16 inches by my measurement. That would mean that a 16 inch shelf would provide support for the microwave, but the door of the microwave would project farther forward than the front edge of the shelf (like 1 inch-worth). Hope this helps.
Q: CAN YOU HAVE A LEFT OR RIGHT HAND OPENING DOOR on microwaves and fridges
A: Need a left to right open door microwave over the range
Q: Is the door easy opening? Is it quiet?
A: YES! Very easy and Very Quiet! It also cooks VERY quietly too! A+ in my book!
Q: Does the light go on when you open the door and while the food is cooking ?
A: Yes, it does. On both occasions. The light looks pretty cool, too.
Q: What’s the difference between this model and the 2.0 besides size and wattage?
A: The controls are completely different. There is no number pad, so to get to five minutes, you have to either slide your finger along a line, or touch and hold the "+" sign until you get to five. Many people find it cumbersome, though we were willing to put up with it for the sleek look of the oven. The bigger problem is reliability and LG's lousy customer service. Our magnetron went out at 7 months--2.5 months ago--and LG has yet to honor the warranty. They wanted us to go out and buy another one on our dollar, with the promise that they would reimburse us. They haven't. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy LG products. I just posted a 1-star review. If it gets published, you can read the whole story there.
A: The overall dimensions are stated as 21 7/16" W x 12 1/8" H x 17" D. I know you didn't ask this, but in case you're interested, the oven cavity dimensions are stated as 15 9/16" W x 10 5/16"H x 16" D.
Q: What is the power of this microwave? How many watts? (And why isn't the wattage given?)
A: The owner's manual states it has a "Rated Power Consumption" of 1250 W, and "Microwave Output" of Max. 1200 W. I don't know why the wattage isn't more clearly stated, I had to do some research before making my purchase.
