I would give it five stars, but it is a little difficult to program since there are no numbers to set the time, and it has to be in 30 second increments. But it functions very well and cooks thoroughly.

But... unit does not come with an exterior numerical touch pad that allows you to "fine tune" cooking time or set a "timer" for concurrent kitchen task once cooking is started.

My husband called me from the store to discuss details of the microwave, explaining that it plays a “tune” at the end of the cycle. (He knows I despise this feature on my LG washer and dryer and have them turned off). I agreed for him to go ahead with the purchase. Not only is there a sound at the end of the cycle there is a sound with EVERY touch!!! In addition, the control panel has no back lights, Forget about warming coffee at 5:00 a.m. without an overhead light, you CAN’T see any numbers. You cannot select an exact time for the unit to run; less than 3 minutes, it runs in 10 second increments, more than 3 minutes, 30 second increments. The interior of the unit is BLACK, making it difficult to see the what you have in the microwave since the interior light is so weak! LG, I DO NOT NEED ENTERTAINED when using my appliances!!!! My husband returned the microwave in less than 24 hours.

Only interesting thing about it is that you have to open the door to set the time and power or select options and then close the door to press start. Would be easier having all that on the outside like most microwaves.
