No Regrets
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Emerson microwave finally died after 8 faithful years. I went online to research microwaves as I wanted something of quality. I finally settled on this guy. It was love at first sight! It matched my other appliances and was easy to use. Not complicated at all. I love the musical chimes when its completed. It puts me in a good mood. And everyone who comes over loves it. Ive had it for about 2 months and no issues. I did get the extra warranty. Learned my lesson from not doing that on other purchases. But I have never been failed by the LG Brand.

Was able to view and select the right microwave with the right dimensions to perfectly fit into our built-in cabinets. Microwave works as designed and was super easy to work with Best Buy.

Heats well, but annoying to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This microwave heats well. The inverter technology does ensure quick and even heating. So, it does its main job well. That might be where the positives stop. The sensor cook feature is a sham. I’m frankly scared to use it. It way over-estimates the time needed to cook. For example, it cooked a frozen entree to piping hot temps after 7 and a half minutes (I set a separate timer). When I stopped the microwave, there was still 7 minutes remaining on the sensor cook cycle. Long story short, it doesn’t work, so be careful if you decide to use this feature. Like others have stated, and especially given the sensor cool feature doesn’t work, setting cooking time is annoying. Not sure what engineer came up with this method, but if you need to cook an item for several minutes you have the option to press “+30 sec.” numerous times or press cook time and then press and hold the “+” button until you reach desired cooking time. Annoying! All in all, it heats food well, but is a bit of a pain to use.

Nice microwave!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave this microwave a 4 star because it was a bit confusing on how to operate it since most models use numbers to set how long to cook something. It does take a little getting use too. I do like the cute song it plays when the food is done.

better than i'd hoped
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this model strictly by size and availability. it was a little more expensive than I would have liked, but thus far I am so happy with it. It's not too loud, it doesn't have a spring operated door that might (will) fail. The sound it makes isn't too jarring. I use this happily every day.

It's a winner.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice and small, doesn't take up too much space, but fits a dinner plate. Also, having a way to open the door without using a handle is much more convenient.

Works well, but lacking features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The microwave works but is lacking features that I had hoped for and expected. There is no clock. The clock on our old microwave was the main one that I used in the kitchen, and it's too bad that this unit doesn't have one, even though it is shown in the picture. I also prefer a keypad that I can just enter the time in. This one makes you select in 10 sec increments or it has a quick 30 sec button.

The good, the bad and the UGLY *F3* error
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, the good: This is a strong microwave, nice looking and very easy to clean both inside and outside. The dark interior is a godsend. Our old microwave of 15 years had a light-colored interior that got irreparably stained so we retired it to our son's college dorm room. I like that you simply open and close it in lieu of having a button to push to open it up. Inevitably those buttons tend to wear out over time. Heats evenly. The time slider makes it very easy to zoom to the right length of time. It fits our space and fits in with our decor. I do not actually cook with a microwave. I use it to reheat leftovers, tea, and sometimes a rare bag of microwave popcorn goes through but most interactions with the product are 2 minutes or less. Now, the bad: **LG can you please make a jingle-free appliance?** As you have seen in review after review, the microwave plays a little jingle when your food is done. And it refuses to shut up until you open the door. You cannot mute it, nor can you make the volume lower. This jingling is an LG trademark. Our dishwasher and washing machine do the same thing. They must think it's adorable. I think it's extremely irritating. As others have mentioned, the timer and pre-timed buttons are on the inside of the microwave so you have to open it to use them. Not a huge issue. Alexa is my timer. But I can see how others don't like that. And now, the ugliest of ugly - THE F-3 ERROR. I mentioned above our last microwave was 15 years old when we retired it from our kitchen. It's still used frequently at our son's dorm, so it's going on 17+ years. Just after a year, this LG microwave started flashing an F-3 error and playing a little upbeat death knell about every 2 minutes. When I first heard it I thought someone had left a cup of tea in the microwave and it was reminding me to take it out. Nope. Empty. But the F-3 was still on the readout. While it was open, I pressed Clear and it disappeared. Hm. Put a cup of joe in the box and closed the door and attempted to push the START button for a quick 30-second heat up. NOPE. Tried the timer slider. NOPE. The entire outside of the door was unresponsive. Just as I came to that conclusion, the jingle jingled and the F-3 magically reappeared. I opened and pressed CLEAR again and it went away, closed and tried the door controls - nada. Weird. I unplugged the box and waited 5 minutes. Re-plugged it and it worked normally. I chalked it up to an anomaly and forgot about it. Until the next month when it happened again. And then in a few more weeks, again, and off and on for the next 6 months. It was usually just a matter of unplugging, waiting, and then re-plugging it in to cure it. Until this week when it just didn't work at all. I unplugged and waited the normal interval. No help. Left it unplugged overnight, F3 greeted me in the morning when I plugged it back in. Contacted LG who said that the 10 year warranty was for parts, but we'd have to pay for the labor to get it fixed. Service calls in the Los Angeles area are at least $90. We just left it unplugged for a full day and now it's working again. And I'm sure it will be flipping us the F3 soon enough. Meanwhile, we're shopping for a new NON-LG microwave. The lovely features of this machine do not outweigh its irritating sounds and its gnat-like lifespan. Re-heating microwaves should last over a decade, worry-free.

Awesome microwave, love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks awesome on our kitchen counter and the touch display is really cool and works well. I also love that it's not a push-button to open the microwave door, much more durable.

The best table top microwave
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best microwave I’ve ever used anywhere! Heats up food but not the container! How does that work? I don’t know I’m just impressed. Also the defrost and reheat sensor is outstanding.
