    This was my 2nd unit and both door release buttons broke in the very same manner. Its a pivoting type that pushes in on the door side and that part is weak. On each one of mine the bottom broke first and then the entire switch just let go at which point you cannot open the door. It's cooking performance is slower than other units with 1250 watts which made it take longer to heat things up. Feature wise its not as well featured as a Panasonic oven nor is it as well built. I took this unit back and bought a Panasonic and will never buy another LG microwave again.

    We bought this to replace our previous LG Microwave which died. It's clear that LG continued to improve this model, as this one has a lot of nice upgrades. For one (important) thing, the sounds are a LOT less obnoxious. As for actual cooking, my wife seems pleased with the functionality, and you should take her word for it. :-)
