||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this microwave after lots of digging through options and reviews and thought I'd gotten a solid model (1600+ reviews with a 4.6 average rating is amazing compared to similar models). However, after getting it home, we were surprised to hear the musical tones when cooking was done. We looked through the manual to turn them off, and then checked online, and the only way to disable the sound is to physically remove the speaker. No thanks; we'd rather try a different brand. My 25 year old microwave, and the 3 we've purchased in the last week trying to replace it have *all* had a way to disable the sound. LG needs to catch up and also realize that not everyone wants to hear beeps from their microwave, never mind music.

This is toy quality, not something that you would use every day. Why in the world they would under design this using thin cheap plastic parts is stunning. You pay $250 for these things and you expect at least a little forethought be put in to durability. I had to epoxy in pieces to repair and this should have NEVER happened.

It heats very effeciently and like the new sensor and reheat sittings. The chiming tunes it plays at the start and finich are "fun" and whimsical, somehow put a smile on your lips.
