Good upgrade to old micro

I had to purchase this specific LG microwave since I have the stainless steel microwave frame installed in my cabinet. LG didn’t made any improvements to this microwave from many years now. My microwave only last for a year and few months before it breaks down and I am out of the warranty. Most recently one that I purchased worked only for 23 days. Bestbuy return or exchange policy is only upto 15days so now I have to go through manufacturer to have my microwave fixed. Good thing at least this time I am in 1 year manufacturer warranty. Also I just use the microwave to warm up food which is in refrigerator. It’s only once or twice daily usage. I never use it for cooking or defrosting. Sadly I checked other manufacturers as I am tired of replacing microwaves yearly but none of the manufacturers has same size microwave and even if I buy another fram it won’t fit the cabinet.

About the same countertop footprint, but not nearly as heavy. Wish there was a way to change or disable the musical chime tone when the cycle completes, or reminds you that there is still something in the cook space.

Maybe its a gimmick, but I have bought two of these now - one for my parents and recently one for myself. Some have complained about the little jingle it plays at the end of a cycle. I can see that, but it doesn't bother me. I'm very pleased.

Replaced a 17 y/o Jenn-are. I like this one better. Seems ti be significantly more powerful. Interior is smaller than the Jenn-are, at least that is what the description says, but it seems larger on the inside.

Otherwise works great. The new unit turntable -plastic broke at the shaft fitting. cracked when trying to rotate glass tray. Price was right --as it was a close -out. Discounted $25.

I really like the amount of space inside. The only down side is the fingerprints that get left behind on the numbers and buttons. But most electronics/appliances have that. So overall a very good microwave.
