It is very difficult to read other than the time. The numbers and words are dark.

The switch seems to be held by a spring and 2 really thin plastic clips on the far right corner of the switch and you have to press on the left end of the switch to open the door. The switch doesn't depress flat, the bottom dips more than the top. The switch broke within a year of use and I got a replacement last week from BestBuy (I had Geek Squad protection). The switch on the replacement unit seems really flaky from day one and feels like it will break soon. Going to return the unit and get a different model with a regular pull open door. This is a fairly expensive microwave, so I expect better build quality, especially on a part that is most used. I would give a 5 star rating if not for the door switch.

The simple control panel is well lit and easy to use for larger fingers. I like the alert signal, musical instead of a harsh beep.

There is white led inside and looks elegant. The high power it has makes all the dishes hot quickly.
