We researched various microwaves, and had a specific model in mind when we went into the store. While looking at the models on the floor - we saw that this model was a tad larger than we had found online and was more like what we were replacing in terms of the plate on the inside. The unit is 1200W so it is a bit more powerful - however not enough to be noticeable. One thing that reviews of the smaller LG unit had was the "music it played" which I would admit seems odd - I was used to just a beeping sound. One of our dogs is a very scared dog and the new sound made her stay out of the kitchen when it was running for nearly a month; now she is used the the new sounds and everything is back to normal - but that is the one thing that I had to take a star off for. I have also found it a bit confusing to set the time after a power outage in the area - I am sure that with enough practice I will have it down.

Smart inverter feature cooks the food evenly. Excellent microwave for large families as it provides the opportunity to heat the big size bowls directly for any occasion. It has a nice tone that is pleasing to the ears. The stainless steel exterior looks elegant and matched perfectly with our other appliances. Low maintenance as it very easy to clean the inside and outside.

Temperature controlled precisely with this Smart Inverter oven. Heat distribution is pretty even when cooking or thawing. Its also really easy to clean, just wipe it down and the spill comes right up. I love how big it is too-you can fit big plates inside this 2.0 cu. ft. I don't even mind that it doesn't have a handle on the door-the push to open bar works great. The price was great too.

I had bought a cheaper GE model last year and it did not even last a year. So upon reading online reviews, then going back to the store I ended up choosing this one. It does a great job, it's big enough/powerful enough for anything my family sends its way. I like the chimes it makes and I can microwave in the morning while everyone else is sleeping and it will not wake them up, bonus

Easy to use. Heats very well. The one complaint that I have seen is that the music that plays when your food is done will continue periodically until you take the food out. There is no way to change the tune or adjust how many times it plays until it stops. Otherwise, a solid choice in its size and price class.

Love the sleek design. Also like the little melody it plays when it's done. It's not an obnoxious beeping noise my previous microwave made. It works really well heating up food and is faster than my last one. I just wish this had more one touch quick buttons for common cooking uses instead of having to push multiple buttons.

Powerful microwave, easy to use and looks nice, nice size also

This microwave is quite large and it has good power and though it's sensor cooking isn't perfect it does well when youlearn how to use it. This unit is very easy to clean both inside and out and the alerts are very nice, much softer to the ear yet loud enough to hear, it also has a reminder after the first notification that the cycle has ended. Overall a very nice microwave.

Attractive design, with quality function. The sensor driven cooking options work well, and they spare me the guesswork that I was used to do with my prior microwave ovens. The jingle, to alert when done cooking is better than beeping, in my opinion. I’m pleased with my purchase, and would recommend this item to others looking for a mid sized unit.

This is a very big family sized microwave and it does a great job on all we have put in it. We like that the buttons are simple and it matches our oven. The song it plays at when the food is done takes a little getting use to but if you don't like it you can open the door and it will stop beeping right away. It cooks thoroughly and evenly.

Was looking for a replacement microwave and found this one. The stainless steel makes it look great on the countertop and the features make cleaning and eating very easy. Recommend.

I've had this microwave for a few months now and I have to say that so far it is great! I like that I can set the cook time to a very specific time (i.e. 23 secs!) My last microwave had a dial and it only allowed me to set in increments of 5 secs. Also I really like the chime that it plays when it is finished heating! I can't believe the reviews I read before I purchased this microwave that noted the chime as a negative, it's so much better than a standard DING...and I like that it periodically plays the chime until you take out the food. Again, with my old microwave on a few occasions I forgot part of our dinner was heating in the microwave until we were sitting and half way through our meal. I almost listened to those reviews and didn't purchase this microwave because of the chime, I'm so glad I ignored them for such a small feature that, like it or not, is ultimately not a make-or-break feature. This is a large microwave so make sure you measure the space you are planning to place it in before you buy. Final notes: The defrost function has worked great for me. The reheat function has worked ok, but tends to make the food HOT, when I usually just want the food perfectly warm and ready to eat. The food does appear to be heated evenly though, which is a definitely plus.

I purchased this microwave emergently when my commercial grade Amana decided to burn up. I had the dimensions from the Best Buy website and debated water to get this model, versus the slightly smaller one that looks just like this, when either one would fit in the space. I chose this model, which isn’t much more expensive. The inside of this unit is huge, and any size dish you have should fit in it. It’s also powerful—you won’t need much time to heat food, and there are many cooking options. The look is hi tech, and the price is reasonable. I was a little disappointed that the sides are just gray metal, not like the stainless steel trim on the front, as my Amana did, but the sides also don’t show spots or fingerprints. The front does to some extent, especially where you press the door button on the bottom of the stainless steel trim, but marks clean up pretty easily. The glass touchscreen also cleans easily. Setting the clock is not intuitive—you will need the instructions the first few times you have to set it. The display is nice and bright, however, so you should be able to see it across the room. So, if you want a very roomy, good looking, reasonably priced microwave, I’d recommend this one.
