We open it c.a.r.e.f.u.l.l.y with two hands and that is a reasonable workaround until it completely fails. We own three other LG = large - appliances and these are fine. Until the break, this one was not a disappointment. Less than two years of service

Thought maybe just a bad one so trued another just this Feb 2023. I took our warranty so will see how it will b to fileva claim.
