Contacted LG and was reimbursed for a new one, same issue. Decided to just deal with the weird noise and hope it won’t affect the longevity of the unit. I would steer clear of this one.

It works well, no issues except trying to change the time when daylight savings time comes around! That’s the challenge! But as far as using for cooking, I can’t comment, I only use it for reheating and popcorn!
