Blue ray itself is great but the WIFI gets disconnected if you don't immediately go to LG software update to update their firmware. Right now its finally working after exchanged for the 3rd time but we are not sure if you can even turn it off, we are scared to turn it off because it might lose the WiFi router setup. Also customer support for the LG is not very helpful, they don't really quite know how to run you through technical support except for the basics. I would recommend this unit for people who know their way around computers and electronics.

Loved the compact size. Had to return. The unit did not have an optical audio connection for our home theater setup. Very disappointed because I heard a lot of good things about LG.

Would have been nice to know that blu-ray uses HDMI connection only. I definitely learned something from this experience. And the customer service rep was helpful when I returned the unit.

The player is an ok player if that's all you need it for. After spending what we spent on it, you would expect better quality of picture and sound. Just an average product.

Entry-level Blu-ray player that I'm able to use to watch movies from my computer. Had problems using the Wi-Fi connection. Ended up just using the wired connection.

I bought it to replace my ROKU in order to access youtube. I am still looking for a better streaming media device. It requires unnecessary steps to access youtube.

Purchased the product as a gift for my brother since he just got his first LED TV and it was a LG. Unfortunately after a few days of use it no longer pucks up any WiFi connections. No reset options nothing or anything to help out. I reset the router and that didn't help either. I will have to try a direct connect via a Ethernet cable now.

I got this LG unit home, and once I set it up I went to play a Disney Blu-Ray. It wouldn't play. I tried another, and it wouldn't work either. Short story, it would play most Blu-Rays, but no Disney ones (Avengers, Tangled, Cars 2, none of them!). I called customer service and spent an hour on the phone, they couldn't help. They wanted me to ship it back to them. I just returned it for a dfiferent unit. I don't know if this is a firmware problem or what, but I wasn't going to take a chance on another unit.

The picture would freeze while I was trying to watch Netflix. Then both the remote and the unit became unresponsive. I had to cut power to the wall, turn the power back on then it would respond again.

This blueray player plays bluerays and DVDs great but I'm not impressed with apps that connect to the internet.

Plays blu-rays, doesn't pick up wifi very well for watching netflix.

Used only once and seemed to work as it should. Did interface with my other LG products quite well.

I wish I hadn't bought this item. I bought it because I was told it would "upconvert" my regular DVD's so I thought the picture on those would be even better. Rubbish! The picture is much less than that of a regular, much cheaper regular DVD player. Unless you have quite a Blu-Ray collection, don't bother. Save your money and stream movies.

I purchased this LG SMART Wi Fi Blue Ray hoping to watch Netflix etc. direct though it using my home WiFi. Unfortunately the WiFi reception on this device is not as strong as some of its peers in the same price range. Netflix takes long to load, U tube buffers too often. However Blue Ray Discs plays OK.

Great DVD played. Easy to use. LG makes some really good products
