Was looking for a good blu-ray player that was ip-controlled/iOs app controlled. Even though it is listed on the web as being iOs app controllable, it isn't. Froze on a few blu-ray discs but it did play PAL discs, a definite plus! DNLA client is so-so.

I bought the blu Ray on 12/28 and wanted to return it 1/16 and they wouldn't because it was past the 15 days. It was a refurbished player and was already broken when I bought it. .. of course I didn't know that. I have a very busy schedule and the first chance I had to take it back was 20 days later. I would say DON'T BUY A REFURBISHED ITEM FROM BEST BUY! They obviously don't always check them before they throw it back in the box and put a seal of approval on it.

The best purchase I've made in quite awhile

I researched blu-ray players with wifi for a month before making this purchase. I compared prices, features and read hundreds of user reviews. The LG BP330 Blu-ray player was literally the only one that no one seemed to have anything negative to report and yet the more expensive models always had a complaint of some kind. When I saw the BP330 was on sale at Best Buy, I ran right over and within an hour of getting home, I'd set up the wireless connection and have been watching NetFlix movies, catching up on Supernatural on HuluPlus, listening to Beatles and Bruno Mars on Pandora and finally getting to watch my daughter dance on AGT on Youtube (YAY!) I could not be happier and HIGHLY recommend this player!

The player will not respond often and to fix the problem, I must unplug the power cord and once I plug it back in, it will work for a short period of time.

Best Buy has it wrong. It's listed as having coax audio out and when I got it home it didn't. Took it back and got the Toshiba BDX3400 instead.

This LG blu-Ray player was not comparable with my Sony TV. I even had a friend who was an expert in hooking up electronics attempt to get it to work, he too was unsuccessful! We tried it on a different TV in my house and it worked like a charm.

This my third LG bluray player for my third TV. I am pleased with the performance of all my LG players. Aside from the value pricing of these LGs they are easy to set up right out of the box - for me all I did was click each accept on all the default settings and I was hooked up in a short time. I compare this LG to a more expensive Panasonic bluray that I recently purchased and returned to Best buy after two and a half days of painfully adjusting and changing nearly all the settings to get it to work right - including two service calls to their bonehead technicians. And, I never could not get the audio to sound right. The LG BP330 is a smaller sized player which I like. The down side of the small size is they didn't include outlets on the back for all those different types of output cable connections we used to see on these earlier models So, make sure you have an HDMI cable when you buy this player and when you get home you can be watching Netflix in a little over an hour..

I purchased this device to replace home theatre device that decided after 2 years that it did not want to play standard DVD's.It would only play Blu-ray discs! The new device was just a player, and could not power speakers. Moreover, I could find no means of using this new player in conjunction with existing device. Therefore, I returned it.

I was really excited when I first purchased this to watch Netflix because I gave up cable. After about 36 hours it lost my wireless network and could not find it again. I had to return it to the store. Best Buy was very great about giving me an exchange.

Great Value, Easy set-up & Operation, No Audio out

This blu-ray was easy to set-up and easy to use. Hooked to the wi-fi immediately and the smart features are really nice. Blu-ray playback is very clear and quick to load. With the smart features I can connect to my laptop via wi-fi and access "my music" for playback. For the price, it is a good blu-ray player. It does NOT have audio outputs. So if you plan to hook this up to your surround sound, then you will either have to run the HDMI to the receiver then to your tv (not a good idea) or use your audio outputs on your TV. The Samsung, at the same price does have audio outputs, but I don't know if it is as easy to use. I love the smart features on this unit !.

    Great First Blu-Ray

I purchased this Blu-Ray player as a belated birthday gift to myself. I am so happy that I chose this one after reading lots of other reviews. This is the perfect player for a first time Blu-Ray player owner. It was really easy to set-up and connect to my wireless home internet. Just make sure you purchase an HDMI cable separately as one does not come in the box with this player. It is small enough to fit on top of my other a/v components and would be great for someone with a small apartment or dorm room. I was streaming Netflix on it within just a few minutes of connecting to the Wi-Fi and the picture quality was absolutely awesome! Would recommend to anyone looking for a small no-nonsense player at a great price.

Give it time, then press only PLAY

When I first got this, I was not giving it enough time to respond when I pressed a key on the remote. It seemed as if I would press a key and the unit would not respond, so I would press the key again. Well, pressing too many keys would cause the thing to lock up. The owner's manual says the only solution to that is to unplug it, wait at least five seconds, and plug it in again. I found myself unplugging it every other time I turned it on. After a few months of this, I have discovered that when I put in a disc, then wait for it to load, if I press the PLAY key, it works every time. If I press the round OK key, it locks up most of the time. So, I have learned that when I load a disc, I should wait for the symbol in the upper left of the tv screen to show, and only ever press the PLAY key. Most often it has figured things out after 5 or ten seconds. Give it time, and it will progress at its own pace. Also, when being turned on, the machine responds differently if a disc is already inserted or not. When it's turned on empty and a disc is put in, the machine finds the menu and starts there. If the machine is turned on with a disc already in, play starts at the beginning of a series episode or the movie, so if that's not where you want to begin, the DISC MENU key has to be pressed. Along with all this, there are times when the machine won't know what to do when it is turned on, so if the disc is in, just press PLAY and wait for it to figure it out. You may have to press PLAY again before it finds its place, but be sure to wait - don't do that till half a minute has passed from the last key press. You have to give it time to figure things out. So far, dvds and blu-rays play perfectly. When it is playing a disc, it plays the content wonderfully - sometimes the machine buzzes, but it's quiet. We ran a 50-foot cable from the office into the living room to hook this up to our internet router, and it worked perfectly. The first thing it did was update its "firmware", then it was ready. Navigation using the remote is tedious and slow. If there is a machine with a keyboard attachment, it would be so much better than this. But, you get what you pay for. The online content that is free is severely limited, mostly YouTube (although there are thousands of choices on that). A paid subscription would open up more possibilities.

    No Problems So Far

I just got this yesterday and so far I love it. I got it primarily for netflix because I don't have a smart tv. (I have a couple year old Dynex 46" flat screen). It was easy to hook up, and I'm not "technologically gifted". I connect to the internet with wifi (router is netgear model wnr2000v3, in case that matters). I haven't had any trouble watching streaming content. It plays regular dvds fine and with a much improved picture quality. Don't have any bluray discs yet, so still have to find that out. Very happy with this item.

I bought this LG Blu-ray player because it was small and cheaper than the rest of them. I'm usually a Sony fan but I thought I'd try something new. Well this thing is nice and easy to use, but when you put in a disc, you can hear the motor spinning and it creates a high frequency noise that's quite annoying. I could hear it during the quiet parts of movies. I had to return it and went with my usual Sony instinct. If you have a big room I'm sure the noise wouldn't be noticeable. I'm in a 12x12 room and it was pretty noticeable across the room. In the recommended products I put the 3100 Sony model. I went with the 5100, which only seems to be sold in stores. Hope this helps.
