We purchased this smart blu-ray player to work within our home wi-fi system. However, after professional installation, our first attempt at watching a streaming video from netflix was a failure as it quit in the middle of the movie. We then had to purchase a wi-fi booster ( to the tune of $80) in order for the blu-ray player to pick up the signal. It works fine now. Just know it can't find the signal if it is very far away. Our wi-fi modem was at one end of the house and the blu-ray player was at the other end.

Faster start up than my last player but not as fast as I would like with blu-ray discs. WiFi works well.

The DVD Player provides great movie time and has the added benefit of music, wi fi, and also internet connectivity.

This player was easy to set up and the first movie I tried to play was Planes out of the red box, so when it did not work I figured it was the DVD. I tried it in a different player and it worked just fine. In the mean time I had been watching HULU from it and it worked great for 2 weeks until in the middle of my show it lost internet connection and said there was no connection available to connect to. Every other device hooked up to my internet perfectly and now I cannot get any internet on it. Needless to say it is going back and I will be purchasing a sony or Samgsung

We bought an LG blu ray player from Best Buy not even a month ago under a 'great sale price.' Here we are less than a month later, and it quit working out of nowhere. One minute we were watching a movie, the next it didn't recognize our discs. When we called Best Buy about an exchange or refund, they told us there was nothing they could do for us. Apparently it has to be returned within 15 days or you are out of luck. Needless to say we will be finding somewhere else to shop for now on. So frustrating!

I like the features of this model. I find the DLNA capability useful. However, this model will not retain my wireless network settings and I've already exchanged it once. The problem is NOT with my router since I have five other wireless devices on my network including two that are further from the router than this device. I also have a gaming system in the same room connected wireless that I never have a problem with.

was great when we got it only problem in beginning was it wouldn't play certain movies because it wasnt in a format the player could play. then it started having connectivity issues to our wifi saying there was no wifi around but all of our other devices had no isses. then it started having issues playing movies it would play and then go back to the main screen and freeze up the player. sorry i didnt pay 50 buck for a pretty black box will be returning and get a sony.

I purchased this item as a gift. It worked great until it wouldn't stay connected to the internet. The connection just drops. It's unfortunate. I'll have to return it.

Within 3 months it completely died. 30 minutes on the phone with LG before they agreed to repair it, then a 3 week turnaround to get it back. It worked fine for 2 months, and now it won't connect to my router. It's getting replaced today.

Hasn't worked from day 1. Haven't gotten through a single disc without having to restart player. Jumping loud static flashes, goes to black or white static with LOUD noise. Best Buy would take it back. LG is being difficult.
