I was very hesitant about getting a front loading washer. It is not what I was used to. I first purchased a high efficiency top-loader somewhere else and returned it. It did not wash the clothes, just redistributed the dirt. I went into Best Buy and Heather ?(last name) talked me through the features and benefits of the LG front loader and helped me choose a model that would work for me in my price range plus handle our filthy dirty farm work clothes and bulky filthy coveralls I am ECSTATIC about this machine. It works even better than my traditional top loader! I have not used the steam feature yet. (Haven't needed it yet)

Good Design, easy to operate, great option to steam clothing

Got this washer last month when the very expensive Siemens washer I bought a couple of years ago suddenly died. From set up, this washer has been a dream. Not a single issue, even though it handles the laundry for 9 people.

Have had it for a few weeks now. Works wonderful. So easy to use, cleans super efficiently. I love that it senses the load before to use as little water as possible. I've gotten tons of compliments that it also looks "beautiful," if a washer could be considered beautiful!! Can't beat the price for it!

I have only washed about four loads, but I love the choice of the sanitizing cycle and the sensor for load size. I have had a front load in the past and really liked it, except that clothes would come out quite wrinkled. Using this washer the clothes are much less wrinkled, even without using the steam option.

Been great so far. I love that the door sits *just* ajar enough with the magnet to keep it from getting too funky inside. The best part is the song at the end of the cycle. I swear it actually makes me happy to get a load done every day (I don't save it for the weekend since we all work full-time around here). Our old washer would buzz/honk at us very loudly and there was no off, the only thing would have been to cut the line. This one though plays a nice little ditty.

This is a very good value washer and has quite a good amount of features for the price. My only complaint would be the odors even when using the self-cleaning cycle as prescribed. This could have been fixed with a spring magnet for the door to keep the door closed but not latched (sealed) allowing ventilation in the drum. I do not like leaving the door completely open when the washer is behind a bi-fold door that can not close when the washer is not being used.

Bought this washer in January of this year (2013). Have used it every other week since, to perform normal loads of laundry. The biggest item is a Queen set bedding and linen, no issues with the results. Washer uses load setting to determine the amount of detergent to use, I have yet to do a load that requires more than a level 1 cup. Bought the LG dryer and washer as a matching set, and couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase.

Make sure to use HE soap. Haven't had only problems yet. Nice and quiet too.

This washing machine made me realize how long I had never known what truely clean clothes were. You can customize every wash, but you don't have to. The lint collector is in the front so it is easy to get it out and put it back in. I like that you can select the water temperature and the soil level. The clothes come out drier than I ever imagined do dry time is usually 20-30 minutes on a medium setting and 30-40 minutes for towels or blankets depending on the fabric content. The end of cycle signal is a nice plus too. I am very happy with this washer. I purchased the matching dryer (gas) and equally happy with it too.

The length of wash time seems long, but I am pleased with the overall performance.

It looks great and it's easy to use. And I got a great deal on it on sale.

This is a very advanced appliance that uses very little water to achieve excellent results.

After seven months of owning this LG front loader washer, I took out my clothes and they smelt like mold. I was so upset, so I looked in the machine and realized the whole drum smelled like mold and mildew. I follow all of the directions and only use HE detergents. So I looked online and found out that there is a class action law suit against LG and whirlpool for this mold problem in their front loaders. Best Buy told me to call LG and LG will not help me even though it is under warranty as they claim this is a maintanence issue. I wish I would have bought a samsung as I never had an issue with it. But next time, I will buy a top loader, as top loaders do not have this mold issue.

So far it has do a great job on everything it has taken in. Load size is great and not nearly as loud as was led to expect. Have to wait and see if this smell issue I have heard about materializes. Happy so far.

I was hesitant to make the switch to an lg front loader but it's been great so far. My clothes seem cleaner and it seems to do less damage to them.

Love this washer!!! East to use, has all the settings I need. I love the Allergiene setting for all of my sheets, it cleaned them so nice. I can hardly wait to get the matching dryer!!!!

Love the washer & dryer combo. LG makes great products! 100% upgrade from top-load maytag. Buying experience was great. Delivery and installation was even better.
