The player is best mated with a LG 4K TV, the LG TV optimizes the picture with a 4K Blue-ray disk. I used the player with a 3D TV which is a little dated and the picture was excellent, using the player on the older 3D TV playing a 4K movie gave an excellent picture. I prefer watching a movie from a blue-ray disk over streaming any time.

I have the first Samsung 4k blu ray that came out and we where getting wired results. The LG was on sale so I decided to pick it up and give it a try. Super easy to setup and use. Only has 2 streaming apps but really we use a roku and the smart tv to view apps anyways so not a big deal for me. Sound quality, far improvement. UHD 10, far improvement. Definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to get the most out of their 4k blu ray disks.

Excellent beginning 4k player for those who just wants to watch movies in 4k. I am hoping LG would add more streaming apps in their selection.

This is a great mid-range 4k player that looks very nice. Would highly recommend this player to anyone looking to make the jump to 4K

The player is amazing, and supports Dolby Vision as well as HDR 10. The WIFI will NOT connect to any router I own. I have a Deco mesh system, and tried 2 of my old routers and this thing will not connect, to anything. I may exchange it, but truth be told I don’t care about the streaming features at all, I have an LG smart tv, an Xbox one S and PS4....so I’m covered for streaming apps. Picture quality and sound output are superb.

I bought this player because I have an OLED TV and my previous blu-ray player did not play movies in Dolby. But I found this player did, and after reading reviews, I decided to buy it. Now, I'm not sure if I got a faulty player or not, but about a month after I bought it (conveniently after the return date passed), it began to show some flaws. Sometimes it won't play a disc unless I eject it and put it back in. At times, while a movie is playing, I'll see white scratches on the screen (this only happens when I'm watching a movie on this blu-ray player), and recently, while watching a movie, it goes black for a second or two, and then the movie restarts but switches to HDR. Not sure why it doesn't just play the movie in HDR since the beginning. When it works, it has great picture quality. I love the way movies look, whether it's a DVD, regular blu-ray, or 4K. Would I recommend this? Not sure. The menu looks dated and it doesn't have any apps besides Netflix and YouTube. If you like dealing with issues, then sure, go ahead and buy it.

This LG 4K Blu-Ray player does a great job along with my LG oled 65 inch HDTV. To be honest I purchased this vary same one in 2018 along with the 4 year warranty and it's still ticking after watching a massive amount of movies with no problem whatsoever, and I've had many players that malfunctioned after a year or two. So I bought a second one for back up on sell at $179 that was $120 off so I got another 4 year extension on the warranty. I should be good for some time now I'm very happy with the player.

This LG 4k streaming unit is superior to my Samsung unit. I bought this to pair with my LG 4k full array TV and I'm in awe at the quality delivered. Having this paired with my soundbar has given me the ultimate viewing experience. 4k movies just pop in color and vibrancy. The remote is simple yet functional and doesn't feel cheap. I am very content with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone contemplating buying this 4k streaming device.

You must purchase this 4K player. LG makes the best. We bought an LG 4K Ultra Smart TV at the same time. They work so easily together. Easy set up.

This was purchased with the new OLED TV and is great. The picture is amazing. Very easy to set up and movie experiences are amazing!

Decent full featured 4K player for the price. It has Dolby Vision which is only usually available in more expensive players.

Cant watch anything less than 4k anymore hahaha. Also had a deal, 50 dollar remote, 3 4k movies and the lg 4k player for 199.99 plus tax.

This is a great DVD player which also plays blu-rays thus far. I have not yet had a full chance to enjoy all the features as of yet but I will soon enough. My only dismay is just like most remotes nowadays they do not have backlit buttons so you have to have the lights on during the dark movie session. Easy to hook up an easy to use and it has buttons on the front that eject play pause and power unlike some other players that only have a power button.
