Easy to set up and use. Picture looks great sound is awesome on my LG tv

This upscales well and displays Dolby vision Blu rays at a much more affordable price than the Panasonic and Sony alts. But with that much more affordable price set the features seem a little bland. Especially when you factor in the $300 non discounted price tag. that being said it's still a much better Blu ray player than my Xbox series x

We love this 4K player, its so easy to work and the quality is excellent.

The dolby vision is amazing but it lacks in the app department.

Previously I used my PS4 to watch blu Ray's. I decided to upgrade to 4k. I did my homework and research and this player did what I wanted it to do and it was also on sale. I played a 4K disc and it was amazing. Then I played a normal Blu Ray and even that turned out crisper and sharper than played on anything before hand. If you enjoy high definition, get the right equipment.

Reasonably priced 4k player that supports multiple formats like Dolby Vison and HDR 10.

Very quiet player compared to 970 model. Plays every disk I've tried. Great picture on HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

The performance of this unit is great it has outstanding clarity and color and looks amazing. However I also wanted it to replace an Xbox one for a streaming unit. This unit only has YouTube and Netflix on it. If your intentions are to use anything such as Hulu or Amazon prime streaming do not buy this otherwise it's a great unit.

I've had Samsung and Sony Blu-ray players in the past. I quit using Samsung because they stopped updating the player and many of my Blu-ray discs wouldn't play due to it not understanding the current encryption. My Sony recently stopped working altogether. Both were very slow or slow (respectively) to start and get to the top menu. I thought I'd try the LG because I had read it was very responsive. And it IS! It is quick to start and can get to the disc's top menu in "record" time (if you skip the previews). So far it has played every disc I've tried. Some of my discs have been scratched and, unlike my previous players, it is quick to skip play the scratched parts (the Samsung would usually just stop and the don't would either lock up or wait "forever" to skip). To be fair, the Samsung player is over 10 years old, but was slow even for it's time. The Sony was about 6 years old, but was only average in speed for it's generation. However, I can see why people have praised the LG players as they are as quick as reported. I don't have a 4K TV and limited 4K discs, but the video quality is as good as I've seen. Also, the user interface is very nice. I prefer it to the other players I've had and tested. So far this player has been very reliable (~1 month) and I have had no problems with it, though some others have. Perhaps LG has worked out the firmware and production "bugs" at this point? Anyway, I highly recommend this LG player at this price point. Though my "dream" player is one of the Panasonic players at the $500-1000 price points, if I could afford them! :-) Hope this helps!

The LG UBK-90 is simple in design but parks a punch. 4K with HDR and Dolby Vision support is excellent.

By choosing an “open box” we were able to get a high quality product for a more affordable price.
