I didn't get this on a promo or deal. I actually paid full price for this product. Am I happy with it? Sure, why not. It doesn't lag or update every time I switch it on, or every time there's a new disc inserted. Powers on instantly, and it's simple. Nothing special. So I guess the pricing comes up for the amount of plug ins and "Firmware/Chipsets" on it.

In the process of "cutting the cord", I purchased an LG 4k tv, and an LG sound bar. I decided the next step would be an LG 4k DVD player, and I found one on sale at Best Buy, which included three 4k DVD's. Both video and sound quality is excellent, and the upgrade to my regular DVD's is amazing. I can highly recommend this player.

This dvd player is of high quality and easy to use.

This 4K UHD Blu-ray player has a basic interface but does what it’s suppose to do—play 4K UHD discs and support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. I use other devices for streaming so I can’t comment on this player’s streaming capabilities. Not having a front display doesn’t bother me at all.

Basic DVD player, ez setup, works as advertised, decent price.

I have used this new blue ray 4K unit extensively in a short period of time. It performs beautifully. I love the present options for music CD's vs Movies discs vs custom setups. One thing though, and I can't emphasize this enough, with this unit you will want to complete your experience with the best high end 4K cables you can acquire, you will love it.

Unfortunately, I haven't set up my player yet. Our previous model was damaged by lightning (and everything we had was plugged into a lightning surge protector). I paired this with an LG OLED television and expect magic from our digital theater. LG products are among the best available on the market and have amazingly competitive pricing. I paired the devices to make sure I don't have any issues connecting them and getting them to work together. My last unit was an LG and my next one will be an LG as well. Compare to Samsung and decide how much you want to spend. They compete well with anybody. Since 3-D televisions have gone away, I'm hoping this does a good job of simulating the 3-D experience.

Great 4k Dolby vision hi res audio player.. only downside is that it’s too big and is a tiny bit noisy.. nothing really noticeable but still there.

The disc motor IS a bit noisy but only noticeable when not playing a disc in a quiet room. Anytime a disc is in the unit the motor will run spinning it even if it's not playing the disc menu. And it was noisy enough for me to hear up to 10 ft. away in a quiet room. Yes, I measured it! Specs say it will play a number of writable/re-writable DVD and CD formats but haven't had a need to test that. I like that there are both optical and a 2nd HDMI audio only digital outputs. Sorry, no analog audio outputs. But it has LAN, Wifi, and USB inputs which I haven't tested since my TV has that.

Signage on display said “and more” related to the apps shown. I asked Best Buy rep if we’d be able to access HBO MAX and the Disney+ apps (ESPN, Hulu, Disney+). His response was absolutely. The truth is definitely not. Go home. Pulled out entertainment unit and spent and hour registering and trying to download the apps as discussed. YouTube’d a review of the player - and the first comment was you’re stuck with what’s preloaded. Boxed up and returned the next day.
