I use this for Dolby Vision encoded 4k movies and the performance is outstanding. Recommend the 4k version of the Last Jedi and you will see what I'm talking about. I still use my sony x800 to upscale blurays because it seems to do a better job.

I bought this unit to compliment the recent purchase of a 4K 3D BD projector. I found the colors to be excellent with its refresh wait to be quite good. It's easy access to both 3D and 2D movies was quite user friendly. I am more than satisfied with this product.

Works well and came bundled with 3 UHD DVDs and a harmony remote. All for less than many other 4K DVD players. Don’t watch many dvds any more, but I have a large collection and can’t see not having a DVD player in my home theatre.

mid 2000s interface but the player does what it is supposed to do. No issues playing BD discs or 4K discs. I would not use this as your primary streaming device - the interface reminds me of very old Japanese electronics.

Bought this along with LG B8 4K HDR TV. This thing is pretty good. It plays 4K HDR movies just fine, it is Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision supported. Perfect match for LG devices. But it can be played with another brand of TV as well. Good bang for a money too, got it on special along with the TV!

The picture quality of this UBK90 (made in Feb 2022) is fantastic connected to my C1 77inch. I also own a Panasonic UB9000 and it’s hard to tell which has a better picture.. love them both.

This is an awesome 4K Blu-ray player. I purchased this to play the new titles of discs on my new OLED tv. This brings the picture to life. Definitely recommend.

Works with dolby vision without any special setting. Great image quality of 1080p and 4k blu rays. pair very well with LG OLED. does not many app selection but who cares, when they are all on the TV or media streamer.

First 4K player I got to upgrade my older Philips Blu Ray player. First 4K movie I purchased to go with it is Ford vs Ferrari. You definitely See and Hear more that you didn't even know was there. Perfect that the LG remote with it controls both Player and TV.

worked as advertised. Hook up was easy. Knowing in advance that the controls were a little different, we were prepared for the learning curve, but it was not difficult. The picture and sound thus far have been excellent.

Unit has quick boot up speed. Works well with my LG tv. My only gripe is that the remote has to be pointed directly at the unit to work. The IR sensor appears to have a very narrow sweep. This is the only knock of an otherwise great product.

The player works very well so far playing 4k disk which its main purpose. Again this is just a disc player its not meant to be used for Apps. Apps are to be used on streaming devices like Roku or your smart TV itself.

The player meets our families needs. The only apps preloaded are for YouTube and Netflix. I have not found a way to add additional apps but I have not tried real hard. That’s all our family uses.

    Awesome player! Supreme Audio quality

The video on this player is superb, but what's even more amazing is the audio quality!! I use the separate HDMI to port for audio out and it made a noticeable difference in my surround sound movies and music. (Note: quality HDMI interconnects rated for 4K are a must for maximum picture quality) Ultimately, it depends on what you want/expect out of a 4K-UHD player versus what you’re paying. I bought it for just under $150, and it works flawlessly. Paired with my Vizio 65" Series P 4K TV the picture is amazing, and my audio equipment detected and switched over to DTS automatically. If your concern is streaming from multiple apps, you’re limited to Netflix and You Tube, but any newer smart TV you would mate with this should have those additional apps to stream directly. Since this is a 2018 player, future software updates will probably add more apps, but only LG knows for sure. I highly recommend this player as both the audio and video have worked flawlessly for me.

Great, easy to use, and very simple set up. The only downfall is, the 16:9 ratio, you cannot adjust to full screen. So you'd pretty much stuck watching widescreen. Other than that, amazing product overall. Scales the 4k movies perfect.

Though the outer case seems cheap and there is no outer screen...all on the tv screen...is was well priced and not only had the 3D capability I needed, but also 4k for the future if needed. I have a feeling 3D options are gonna get more and more limited, buy while you can!!!

For the sale price - 179.99 - excellent value. The player also has two HDMI output options on the back, one for just video and the other for audio. This is great as my receiver is older and will not pass the full 4K Dolby Vision spec but the receiver can do Dolby Atmos. So with two HMDI cables I was able to send the video directly to the TV and the audio directly to the receiver. I wasn't sure this would actually work when thinking about it as I thought the receiver might try to send an empty video signal to the TV, but this has not happened. So I am happy.
