The audio only HDMI separates the audio like an optical cable would be for because for some reason the HDMI's have a tendency of losing the signal on either the audio or video randomly and it does not matter what brand you buy they all do the same thing they're not as good as DisplayPort 1.4 cables which TVs usually don't have a slot for.

I compared this to the Panasonic DPUB820 and didnt see anything that made me feel Panasonic was worth twice the price of the LG. Also the integration with the LG G1 is spot on and while brand matching wasnt a driving force, it certainly doesnt hurt

Decent, but not exceptional...

However, has a clunky and very dated user interface and remote. Also experienced intermittent HDMI handshake issues, but guessing that could be the TV (though also LG), or simply the fact that 4K and Dolby Vision are still relatively new technologies.
