Some of my favorite brand names are Sony; Panasonic; Samsung, Yamaha, Pioneer... This is my first LG Blu-ray player, and so far I like it very much. Hope it would last me a long time.

Upscaling to 4K works great and does a great job in audio processing too. the only 2 apps that you will be able to use are, Netflix and Youtube so, is not so "SMART" of a device but, other than that, is just great. I love it!

There are only two apps, Netflix being one and I think You Tube. I bought this model because it has Dolby Vision. Just bought a Dolby Atmos receiver so I haven't checked yet to see how the sound on the LG player is.
