Good, when it plays
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Skipped on a couple of discs. This is a brand new player, and the discs were new too. For good measure, I made sure they were clean. Still, skipping, random pauses, etc. despite power cycling and doing a factory reset.

LG Blu-ray
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this Blu-Ray player. It works easily and has a good controller (this is important). It connects with all of our apps and was very easy to setup. I also fits in the area that we needed it to.

Pretty basic but works as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty basic Blu-ray player, control looks really cheap, but it does what’s expected. Has online streaming which I’ve only used once since I already have an Apple TV that i prefer to use to watch Netflix etc, but it that feature works well on the Blu-ray player.

Good unit
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this unit for a month now and it works very well. No noise pause is good. The only thing i do not really like is the start up of the unit. It does not auto detect a disk and you have to tell it to play movie. But that is just a small thing to me.

Integrates well/ LG TV remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good: When connected via HDMI ARC, the volume flawlessly changes with the TV remote so you don’t need to use two remotes. Bad: The menus are dated looking and I can’t figure out why this was so much more expensive than its Netflix-Free counterpart.

It Works well with LG TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very plug and play. 4K Bluerays look amazing. Even old DVD's look pretty decent with the up-scaling on a 65" screen. I have it direct into my Pioneer receiver and pass through video to the LG E8 OLED. I haven't tried any "Smart" features because I have a smart TV and a Roku.

Unreliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had for 6 months. It works great when it wants to work. But it has been unreliable. Recently it stopped allowing me to stop a movie without entirely freezing, requiring that I actually have to pull its power source for it to turn off. It makes a lot of loud noises depending on the disc. It has trouble outputting lossless audio to surround sound. Would I buy it again in lieu of other options? I’m actually considering selling my unit and waiting for better options.

Excellent piece of electronics
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As 4K players go, the LG is a superlative product. In keeping with what one expects from LG and indeed, BEST BUY, this is a mechanism for all streaming needs. It even still has a tray, if one still has those old BluRay disks.

Does As Advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this with Best Buy Points to go with my new 4K TV from Best Buy. Used my Best Buy Points and a little cash and was rewarded with a top of the like player. It also has lots of apps and many other features that will take time to learn. So far, I'm extremely happy with it.

Don't waste your money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The staff at Best Buy told me how wonderful this blue ray player is. Here's the reality: 1. Wouldn't maintain the proper aspect ratio 2. Had very few apps compared to Samsung players 3. Worst of all pressing pause, fast forward or rewind doesn't let you know where in the movie or show you are. You just get a simple image of the button you just pushed (like I needed to know that). I ended up buying a much less expensive Samsung product that ticked all the right boxes.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is great upscaling is awesome the biggest issue I have with it is that it keeps losing internet signal so a little internet globe pops up all the time despite being 6 feet from the router

Excellent 4K Blu-ray player
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 4K Blu-ray player in my opinion is one of the best if you’re comparing features vs cost. I just wish LG would’ve made it a little smaller in design, I think it’s a little too big. But overall it’s a great player and performs great.

Great 4k Player!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I owned the Sony UB800x2 and it was bad! Big issues with freezing. I exchange dit for the LG and I've had zero issues. It does have less manual settings but I'm ok with that.

The Connection is Just Off
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was a great price/deal that I had with this blu-Ray player. If it wasn’t, I might have returned it. For some reason my Samsung TV and this device do not play well together. My AppleTV works well on my Samsung TV, the DVD player I bought for $30 at Walmart works perfectly. Especially when I first try to view a movie on it, the TV says nothing is detected—even though it’s completely setup and plugged in. After changing some settings in my TV it seemed to work for a movie. We will see if that is a complete fix or just a band aid. I might recommend this to someone with an LG TV, but definitely not to Samsung users unless you get a great deal, too.

Working well so far...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit seems, at least for now, to be performing up to our expectations. It has performed reliably thus far. I don't really want to sing it's praises until we have used it a bit longer. If no problems present themselves I will post a further review later. Thanks.

Nice 4K Blu-Ray player but need help with Dolby Ci
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a previous LG 4K player to support Dolby Cinema. So far so good but have not figured out yet how to get my Denon receiver to pick up Dolby Cinema. Working fine with Apple TV

Not a reliable product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Video randomly drops out, power cycles off and on or returns to main menu. Occasionally becomes totally unresponsive and have to unplug it to restore operation. Accessing and loading NETFLIX content is annoying. Rarely completes loading on first try. Runs to 20% and stops. You have to return to main menu and restart, sometimes multiple times. Video is clear, vibrant colors and upscales well. Waiting on a software upgrade to hopefully address the issues.

Your ticket to 4k
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All you need to play your 4/Atmos movies! Lacks some of the streaming features that other bluray players have, but you generally have those apps on your tv, Apple TV, firestick etc . Does come with YouTube and Netflix.
