Unit works well, I have noticed the remote at times doesn’t work well.

The Blue Ray player is good but it is hard to turn off. It will keep coming back and interrupts us when we are watching TV.

It works fine when it wants to work. It freezes a lo. I would return it if it wasn't past the return days.

A bit more expensive than the Sony, but so far no freezing, and it works out of the box with my LG TV. I am happy with my purchase.

Easy to set up and use. The biggest and best feature is the up scaling of ordinary DVD's. Its the best I have seen yet.

lg products last a long time and work great,i have lg in my laundry,kitchen and entertainment center and they all work and last great.

The unit worked and everything but I just felt like my money would have been better spent on the Sony counterpart. I returned the unit and exchanged it for the Sony brand and was able to get it cheaper. The Sony player appears to have more options to tweak than the LG player.

Ok, but good be a lot better quality. 4K on a 4K TV Is really no better than Blue Ray.

It’s not a bad player but it is a little glitchy. Sometimes more often than not it gets stuck when you put in a blu ray movie. It reads to the menu of the disc and does not allow you to start playing it unless you re-start the system. Other than that I do like the usb attachment for playing music via usb

At the age of streaming, I watch very few Blu-Ray movies. When I do, it is because I want a full movie theater experience as much as possible. Although most 4K players can deliver excellent pictures on a high end 4K TV, especially the OLED type, sound never matches the same quality and experience, even when you have good speakers. In my experience, the LG UBK90 fills that gap with its full Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. I have been waiting for this for a long time. Personally, I don't care so much about the lack of more apps since Amazon FireTV, Roku and AppleTV are in the homes of most serious TV watchers nowadays. If you do care about that, you will probably be a bit disappointed because I don't believe any more apps will be added and the only ones available are Netflix and YouTube. Easy set up, fast, responsive and really silent. It plays all previous formats of DVD. I was surprised that it still supports 3D Blu-rays in one of my older TVs. I used a premium HDMI cable which is a must for something like this and picture quality was second to none. Not any better than my previous player, the UP970, but a lot more silent. What blew my mind was my favorite thing in a home theater: sound. Dolby Vision really makes a huge difference. This is the player to go. I tried it with a full set up with 7 speakers and felt like I was in movie heaven. I tried it with a soundbar with Dolby Vision and although the experience is not quite the same, it was still impressive. A clean design for me is also important and this model meets my minimum requirements. I just don't understand why an HDMI cable was not included but I fortunately had one. It apparently has less features than other brands in the market but those features are mostly redundant and not worth the extra price. I don't have a 4K Home Theater Projector to try this player on. I can only imagine what it would be like. Summary: excelent picture and a truly amazing sound experience. Silent playback. Supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. The CONS that I saw will affect very few people in my opinion.

Lots of research on a mid level 4k blue ray player. This one checks all the boxes for a minimal price.
