Sure, it's got the Dolby Vision and it's the perfect shade of black to match your other components. But man, this thing has gotten more and more frustrating in the year I've had it. For starters, it's got a pretty clunky interface, but you never really use that beyond initial setup so that's not a deal-breaker. What is forcing me to consider tossing this in a dumpster is its inability to consistently talk to my TV via HDMI without a lot of weird noise - weird pink noise, in fact, which is double weird - but ALSO all of the occasions that a disc will finally start to play, but when we arrive at the Blu-ray menu, there's no menu. It's just the looping background video of the menu without any options to highlight or select. And so these issues persist, about 40% of the time, and it's why I'm probably going to pick up the ol' trusty Sony UBP-X800M2 and carry this thing outside. At least it's lightweight.

The set up for this unit was quick and easy. Just what we needed to add DVD capability to the kitchen.

Video output is amazing. Though I would recommend coupling with a smart tv. App list is very short.

I've had some serious issues with this player. Does it play stuff? Yeah. That's about all it does right. The 4K looks good, the upscaling is decent, that's the end of the good stuff. The bad, the dolby vision doesn't work. When playing a Dolby vision title the player skips horribly. I sent it in to be fixed and they fixed something else I didn't even know was broken and not the problem I sent it in for. I ended up just plugging it into a TV that doesn't support Dolby vision so that way I can still use it. The hdr works fine so that's good. I also have a 4K player I got on sale for like 60$ that works better than this one. I've never had an issue with it and it's almost a quarter of the price. I honestly do wish I had better things to say, but I was very disappointed by this player. If you choose to buy it that's great, I don't want to stop you, just want to inform you about my rough experience with this product. - Good luck all...

Great Player. No issues yet. Upscale is great with all my blu-ray and older dvds.

Just plugged the player into an HDMI port and the LG tv auto recognized it. Can control the player from the tv remote.

I got a new TV and wanted to see the best that it could offer and this DVD player certainly did that.
