    It plays the blue Ray's like a champ. It was simple to hookup. Nice deal with combo buy on a new TV too. Thanks Best buy.

    started acting up after about 15 hours

    after 15 hours of use started to show three screens unpluged it anf tried it again then went back to three screens did not purchase the extended warranty. Lg states that they will repair. only giving 90 days after repair for extended warranty. stated I have to send back unit and they will repair and send back. I have had other brands that have worked for years without issues

    I was unable to get the mirror function to work. I had to add a chromecast in order to do it

    This player seems to have an issue with layer switching with 4k discs. When it works it works great but having a movie freeze on you with no way of unfreezing isn't enjoyable. Unfortunately for me i learned of this known issue after the return period had ended...

    Wonderful player but beware with the longer movies!! These players have issues with the longer movies, like the 100 gb 3 layer discs !! Beware that these players freeze up on the longer movies!! Had to return for a new one, testing it now!!

    While the sony I have will sometimes have to be unplugged due to not reading a disc when put in (specifically non 4K discs and this has been improved with updates) this lg has an unimpressive layout and did not seem to put out the quality of picture the Sony does. Disappointing since I own an LGtv. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

    This 4k Blu-ray player is the worst purchase I think I’ve ever made. It stutters, it freezes, and if you’re playing a Dolby vision film it has weird artifacting all over the screen. I’ve tried software updates and replacing the hdmi cord with a top of the line one and nothing works. I cannot recommend this product at all.

    Didn’t work with my LG UHD TV

    Purchased to go with my LG UHD TV but when I tried to play a DVD (not Blu-Ray or UHD) the screen was split with the picture cut in half and the left half on the right half of the screen and vice versa. It was unwatchable. Returned it and a second did the same so I returned that and bought a Sony. Must be a conflict in the two devices. I called LG customer service and did all the troubleshooting. Never got it to work.

    For the exact same money buy the Sony UBP-X800. It’s a much better player and lightning fast.

    I had high hopes for this Blu-Ray Player but I was sad to discover that for the price tag it does not have a fully dedicated app store to make this devices an all around entertainment/multimedia service. The only applications that are available were Youtube and Netflix. I was hoping to be able to get VUDU or even HULU on this device as well but there is no store to search/browse new apps for download. Blu-Ray players should simply not be this much considering new gaming consoles have Blu-Ray capabilities already in addition to a myriad of application available for download. Blu-Ray Players are overrated and overpriced. I ended up returning this device and purchasing a ROKU 4K streaming device instead for my parents since they stream all their content anyways via Netflix, Amazon, and Vudu. I DO NOT recommend purchasing this or any Blu-Ray Player that does not have a fully dedicated app store for your streaming requirements.

    Another Blue Ray 4K DVD player , yawn- right? Maybe not. The LG UBK90 is a 4K DVD players that has both display formats of Dolby Vision and HDR plus video streaming in a relatively affordable package. Construction and features : Simple Front – 4 buttons, usb and the DVD tray. No annoying display lights ( as in set top boxes and similar.) I like the streamlined look and mention the lack of display as positive because I have grown tired of the Christmas tree light display of having multiple devices. Wifi and LAN connection Solid build with a rigid, finger resistant top. 4K,HDR and Dolby Vision. It has it all. Every picture adjustment you have on a television you have with this player. Scene modes/picture presets ( as in vivid, movie etc,) contrast , color, aspect ration etc. Everything you need to adjust the picture the way you like. Netflix and Youtube apps. Personally, I do not see the point since you are going to be putting this one a smart TV anyway but I guess this a nice backup. Slim line , unobtrusive design. Set up and use - I am not going to go into detail, if you have ever set up a TV or DVD player before – you get the idea. Simple and fast. No surprises. This is one of those devices that just does as it should and does it simply. Set it up, pop in a disc, press play and it does what it should. Performance and conclusion - So you may have noticed I did not go into too many details on features and set up. For the most part, what is the point? What matters is the performance. The LG UBK90 does not dissappoint. My TV is 4k and supports HDR but does not support Dolby Vision. However, it did not matter. I tested it with Wonder Woman and Transformers. The first thing I noticed was the sound. I know you would expect someone to talk about the picture but the sound was exceptionally clear and better than a standard show. The picture was stunning and flawless. Granted , how a movie will look is dependent on the display ( mine is a 2017 Samsung 8 Series.) If you do not have the display to match, it will not matter how good the source . The point there is know what you are buying. If you do not have a 4K television, one that does not support HDR or on that does not have Dolby Vision – pass this product. It is too much a product for your TV. If you have one of the newer televisions or plan on buying one soon, this is a great product that will do the job . A note on LG video products in general – they are always top notch. Whether it was computer displays, TV’s or DVD players; they never disappoint. I recommend the LG UBK90 .

    Quality is fine. Don't like the way the player turns itself on randomly which also causes the LG tv to turn on by itself. Being both LG, one senses the other a bit too much. Switches input to bluray randomly in the middle of watching a tv channel!
