    We had really high hopes for this blu-ray. LG tvs are awesome, but this blu-ray was not. The movie weeks glitch sometimes and the colors would go crazy at other times. We had to return it.

    I purchased this 4K player at a good deal, but nowhere did it say there wasn't a remote available in the box. it costs $65 to get a good learning remote, so did I really get a good deal on this....not as good as I had hoped. I'm a bit disappointed...

    Not a quality DVD player, poor customer support

    It runs some DVDs fine, but others will skip and not be able to recover without returning to the DVD player main menu. I've had the system serviced twice under warranty and the issue persists even though my DVDs run fine in other players. Customer service is adequate, but I have not been able to get a refund even though they have supplied me with a "repaired" unit twice. I do not recommend this DVD player.

    Horrible UI and lacking app support. I spent extra for the wifi supported player, upon receiving I realized that Netflix and youtube were the only choices for entertainment apps.

    Watch for misleading info in product listing

    Bought this for the streaming feature, product listing said "enjoy streaming media such as Netflix and U-tube" which indicates you can get more apps - not the case. Only has those two and no more can be added.

    This product skips on some 4k discs that are brand new right out of package. It has done it on multiple discs now which tells me it probably is not the discs.

    This Blu-ray player has a LOT of problems. * You can't disable upscaling, so if you're watching 1080p Blu-rays on a 4K TV it will look ugly (it's better if the TV do the upscaling.) * You can't disable HDMI-CEC, and the CEC implementation is weird. * Apparently Netflix is glitched and always uses Dolby Vision even for shows where Dolby Vision is not actually available. At least it technically plays Blu-rays, but you can get a much better Blu-ray player for half the price. There's no reason to buy this. Returned it and got Sony's X700 instead.

    For what this costs... it is very lacking in the feature department. I would not have purchased this if it was not included in my bundle.

    This is another product that was disappointing as well. I was excited at first but after seeing it. I wanted to call LG and ask them why would you make this product.

    We have a Sony Bravia tv that is 12 years old. This blu-ray did not work with it, even after upgrading the hdmi cable. It never did anything more than occasionally flash LG briefly. Had it not been during the "time of the coronoavirus", we would probably have been talking with a tech person as we bought it, thus choosing a model perhaps more compatible with our tv. After trying literally every possible solution, we regretfully returned it to the store, where they cheerfully took it back and refunded our money. We'll have to wait until social distancing is over before making another attempt to replace our old blu-ray player.

    I purchased this Jan 2021 and am writing this review May 2022. If I would have left this review a year ago I would have given it 5 stars, but now the player is frustrating. Every time I watch a 4K Blu-ray it’ll freeze halfway through the movie. The only remedy is to power it off then back on open the tray and close it again and that works most of the time. I was very excited about this player because of all the great reviews I read about it, but I am very much disappointed.

    Couldn’t hook up to wifi

    Had to return it...could not get it to hook up to WiFi internet although the tv is lg and hooked up seemlessly??? ...had to go with competitor four letter word starts with “S”

    Dolby Vision does not with Sony TV's

    I am sorry to say that LG did put up a disclaimer about Dolby Vision on their Web Site for this product as they did with the UP970 Player is fully compatible with Dolby Vision TVs, except for Sony Dolby Vision TVs, whose implementation of Dolby Vision requires additional software upgrade to devices that connect over HDMI, such as streaming media players or UHD Blu-ray players. However, standard HDR10 content will play on Sony TVs. Same holds true for the UBK-90 No Dolby Vision on a Sony TV......

    Not impressed with the quality of build on this. Looks great but the disc drive door does not close all the way and sometimes does not open right.
