BOUGHT 2 YEARS AGO, IT PLAYS ALL MY 4K MOVIES & BLU-RAYS TO PERFECTION, DOLBY ATMOS SOUND WORTH THE $250 I PAID

Is greatest DVD ever ....The remote is handy and the homing bars or small bumps on certain buttons help the user remember and find the right buttons to press when the lights are off. You do have to point the remote directly in line with the light sensor. At an angle, it may not respond to the first press.

Bought this to replace my old Samsung Blue-Ray that wore out. It loads fast, and remote control is simple. My only complaint is that the remote control should be WiFi or Bluetooth such that one can control a Player located in a closed cabinet (subtract 1/2 point for this)

1. No support for DLNA. If you have photos, music, or movies on your local network, then you will have to place on a USB, CD, or a DVD to play on the player. Yuck! 2. Only two apps, YouTube and Netflix, and no option to add more. 3 Minor but inconvenient: its remote does not pair with my Samsung NU8000 TV. The manual claims it does, but it does not. I've had more than two dozens Bluray, DVD, and VHS players and this is the very first time my player's remote cannot be paired with my TV. Other than the above, the picture is fine. If you can purchase for less than $100, then may be it worth it.

Do Not Buy in Open Box Unless it's Excellent-Certified condition. Because we bought i believe an Excellent condition one and it turned-out to be defective. And the manufacturer warranty doesn't cover Open Box. What's defective? It won't connect to my internet, whether i use ethernet or wi-fi, different cable, different ethernet port, or Afvanced Setup. Why is this important? Because this is how it auto/self-updates to the latest software. And because you're not getting what you pay for. For $2-300 this should not be failing. And an employee at customer service said BluRay players get returned a lot and therefore recommends a New condition one.

Isn't much to this player other than having Dolby vision. It has a very bright and sharp picture and does it's job playing 4k discs. Other than that it's pretty plain and basic. Feels very plasticy but has some heft. No thrills design and style, this includes the software on board, its boring and seems out dated. Connections are minimum and on board apps include netflix and youtube only. Want a crisp 4k player with quality audio and Dolby vision then you have found it. Want all the bells and whistles then you will need to move along. I like this player but I can't see wanting to keep it around.

The audio is amazing on my Bose Theater sound system. Sad that apps cannot be added for streaming. All they have is YouTube & Netflix.

I have an LG tv so I wanted the 4K blu-day to match if you will. I was going back and forth between this one and the cheaper option. I chose this because it gets the most out of my 4K tv.

I really don't have much to say about this blu ray player. It does what it's supposed to do. Don't care too much for the LG interface but hey it works. Very simple set up.

I bought the LG UBK90 from BB 12-4-2018 to be used with an LG 4k TV LG 49SK8000PUA which was purchased Thanksgiving weekend 2018 at BB online. After owning the LG UBK90 for a few months, I am no longer satisfied with it. I have replaced the UBK90 with a Samsung UBD-M8500 which I feel is quite superior. (1) The LG UBK90 only comes with 2 apps: Netflix and Youtube. (2) The LG UBK90 does not have access to the LG Content store to get any additional apps. There is no apps store for the UPK90. (3) The user interface on the UBK90, while simple, is unappealing. (4) There is no DLNA support via the UBK90. (5) The UBK90 tries to upscale everything to DolbyVision, and oversaturates the color for non DolbyVision Disks. You cannot control DolbyVision, that is turn it off, or switch to HDR. (6) The UPK90 does not even offer you the ability to see what your input is via an onscreen query (is the input 1080p, or SDR or HDR?). I have found that the Samsung UBD-M8500, while being only HDR capable (no DolbyVision) is superior in every other aspect, and makes the LG UBK90 basically a no frills entry level DolbyVision blu ray player. If you can choose between the LG UBK90 and the Samsung UBD-M8500, get the Samsung UBD-M8500, even if you have to wait for BB to get it in stock. The HDR quality of the Samsung UBD-M8500 makes up for it not having DolbyVision.

Great player! Very easy to install and works quite well for my needs.

It plays 4k discs. Plus At least when I purchased it I got 3 4k movies and a universal remote for free. Pretty good deal.

I'll just start off by saying I'm an LG fan! Like many others tried the UP970 and the build was not at it's best. Fast forward to the future and I can say this revamped version of the UP970.....the UBK90 is on point as it should be! I knew LG wouldn't let me down so I waited patiently and here we are the new UBK90 is quiet and loads 4K content pretty fast. I'm now a satisfied happy customer! Thank you LG

This player is great other than that I have nothing else to say a must have

First job i got and Best christmas gift for my parents.

I didn't want to pay $300 for it. But I did and to me it's well worth the money. DVDs are good blue rays are great but the 4K is ok. Im old school and I'm a must own it. I'm not a down loader. If u are like me then it's a must have item.

Worked great out of the box. No issues with freezing, stuttering on SD, BD or 4K discs. Could wish for a few more onscreen stats like bitrate, resolution, etc. Excellent upscaling.

My second LG blu-ray disk player, first 4k. Aside from the picture/sound quality, this player disappoints in every other way. Poor feature set, only two streaming app, humming sound from player during playback, 60 fps playback does not work. Picture and sound skip when I set the player to 60 fps, the problem goes away when I set it to 24 fps. I would expect more from LG, love their TVs.
