    Oh well, it died after two movies

    Worked great for two movies! I like the features and the optical format was what I was after; however, I bought it as an open-box item and the next time I went to use it, it was dead. I couldn't get it to turn on or eject. I couldn't even remember if I had a disc in it or not. Anyway, I took it back to my local store and they exchanged it for a Sony. Oh well. I did like the LG more!

    Don't expect to get help with a Warranty Claim

    I purchased this product a year ago. Shortly after I purchased the product I noticed that the audio and the video was becoming out of sync while watching a video. I didn't realize it was the video player unit the 12th month of owning the Blu-ray player. I thought it was the discs I was playing or it was a problem with my TV or sound bar. Once I systematical determined that there was a problem with the Blu-Ray player I called LG to get help with the issue. I spent over a month and 8 phone calls trying to fix the problem, but nothing they did helped the situation. They told me that every time the video and audio goes out of synch I was to hard reset the machine. This might have to happen 2 to 3 times a movie; does that sound right! The device never worked properly and now LG claims that the device is out of warranty so they no longer can help me. Talk about a company that does not stand behind their product! This might be a good Blu-Ray player when working properly, but if you buy one that is defective, don't expect LG to help make things right.

    Netflix app cr-app

    It supports 1080i, but the Netflix app forces 1080p with no warning and freezes up on a TV that only supports 1080i. The device supports 480p to 4K, and warns if the TV might not work. There are no updates to apps or firmware. Netflix launches faster than my 2012 smart TV, but doesn't work with my 2007 TV that only supports 1080i. For the price, I'd expect more functionality that actually works properly.

    Underwhelming for the price

    This unit promotes its internet connectivity. The wireless internet failed completely within a day. After hardwiring it, we found that the premium services that LG promotes are limited to Netflix and Youtube. No Amazon prime, no Hulu, etc. Completely ridiculous in this day and age. Buy another brand.

    NO VUDU APP

    People all over the world are using digital codes and streaming movies. It is very convenient but LG doesn't think it is important. ABSOLUTELY no support for VUDU - or any streaming app - with this player. They have only netflix (which I can't stand) and youtube. One usable app makes it worth about $10 at best.

    Not Good

    I got this to go with my new LG 4K tv. When trying to watch a 4K disc the unit kept getting a static screen and would lock up.. It was exchanged for another one but the second one had the same problem and was returned.

    NON STOP FREEZING

    STAY AWAY!!! Unfortunately I didn't use mine for a few weeks which took me out of the "return" window. Freezes on 9 out of 10 4k dvd's. NON STOP FREEZING. Thought it was the dvd's at first because the player was brand new, and NOT CHEAP. Read the reviews.

    Decent Player, does not work as advertised

    The UBK90 markets itself on having Dolby Vision capabilities out of the box, and after many attempts I could not manage to get DV content to play on my Vizio P55-F1 (niether switching to a new UBK90, changing HDMI cables, or changing titles mastered in DV worked). LG was not able to provide a solution.

    Does not last long

    Here it is 2022 and it will not play anything but 4k. I did not get extended warranty, never again an LG.

    Freezes on 4k & Bluray disk

    Very surprised that this player froze on multiply disks, this is one player I would not recommend
