I own 4 LG Blu-ray players now. Had 2 older models. First one replaced a bad Samsung, so I bought a 2nd when it came time. When my daughter needed, I thought I'd try Samsung again based on the price and reviews. What a mistake. Returned it and went back to the solid performance I've seen with my other LG units. It's a basic player, so just know you get what you pay for. I only needed it for Netflix and DVDs/Blu-rays, and it works great for both. Not one issue since installation.

Truth be told the techonology of having a smart blu ray player is becoming a little dated with smart tvs and online streaming of movies. BUT it is necessary still to have a DVD/Blu Ray player in the home. You really don't need the smart feature because it's just another item to suck bandwith in your home but unless you want to move away from LG and you aren't brand loyal this is the only option the most Best Buys carry in stores. Worth the 80 bucks - yes. Do you need it if you have a smart TV - No.

we bought this for our sons room. its easy to set up and use. remote is a little small and easily lost.

Overall this is a very good DVD player. I specifically wanted an LG DVD player (non-4K) to connect to my LG TV set (also non-4K). However, my son (who is a techie) and I were not able to get the DVD and TV to link seamlessly through the stereo receiver. I subsequently went to Best Buy and bought a Harmony remote so that everything could be controlled on one remote. Since I have only had the DVD player for a short time, I cannot comment on it's longevity.

This was a gift for my parents. It was quick and easy to set up, looks great on the new HD TV i got them. Very happy with the purchase. Haven't even gotten into all the apps yet, but the built in Wifi and not having to run extra wires is going to be nice.

Easy to set up and connect. My only frustration is not being able to connect the player to my audio equipment (there's only one HDMI cable, which goes to the TV), so we have to listen through the TV speakers. Easy access to Amazon Prime and Netflix, though, and works well for Blu Ray discs.

Works well and easy setup. Shows DVDs ans Blueray disks.

This DVD player works great and allows me to log on to premium internet tv. Same as the more expensive models and is compact.

Does the job and does it well. My only annoyance is the same with all LG products; unless you're aiming the remote directly at the unit, it ignores you. Other than that, a top-notch unit for a low price!

I wasn't looking for the full home theater package when I found this player. This player was inexpensive, super easy to connect to a TV and takes next to no space. It plays Blue-rays and DVDs flawlessly. This is a great compact player for regular use.

I read the reviews and still took a chance on this DVD player. Easy to connect to WiFi and tv but apps are limited unless you download the LG remote app. Have experienced several freezing while watching Netflix. Mainly use as for the DVD player and had to reconnect my fire stick

Picture quality is excellent lightweight and easy to install

This works great for blu ray playing. I bought a roku for streaming as this blu ray will lag at times.

Blu-ray player with wi-fi built-in was great for streaming and smart device has the capability of obtaining pay subscription. Excellent contrast, color, quality and connections.

Compact, simple, and easy to operate. We had purchased a 4k Ultra LG TV from Best Buy, and we were missing the DVD player. This was a quick and easy set-up for us, and we have used it multiple times so far. Really like the Wi-Fi ability. Ed Rossignol

Easy to set up and use. Good picture quality at an inexpensive price point. Include light showing if on or off, which sounds like no big deal until your last player did not have a light and it was aggravating.

Simple and very good quality. A great deal for the price, but even if I paid more, I would be happy with the player.

We were looking for a small simple Blu Ray player and not looking to break the bank. It's sitting on our fireplace mantle and blends in and doesn't stick out. We've had it for a couple of months and it has worked perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone.

Easy to use and excellent picture quality. I bought an open box model, so my problem could be due to a defective unit - several times while starting to watch Netflix, the picture freezes and unit is unresponsive. The only solution is to unplug it and plug it back in, then it works fine,
