I don't want them to have cable in their room, so this was the perfect compromise. I would recommend this item as it works as described, is affordable, and the wireless signal it picks up hasn't had any issues yet with freezing, tiling, etc on the screen.

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works perfectly at first- I bought this back in November 2019- now doing a review close to a year later- the player starts to freeze quite consistently and you have to actually get up and unplug from the wall and wait 30 seconds since it freezes to the point you can't do anything else to reset it. Never had any issues with DVD's- it's mostly with the wifi/streaming.

There have been no compatibility issues so far with the media I've played. Responsiveness of the player is also very good.
